Rated 5 out of 5 by Brilliant Dose what it says on the tin works really well I'm using it for dh and fr no play in the head set unlike if you buy hope cup reducers this is a very good bit of kit for the money. 15 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Big fat headset for DH Big nice headset made for DH. Nice finish. Big ball bearings, looks awesome on my bike. Buy it! 05 July 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Broke after 5 months I had this headset for 5 months and bought it as it was the cheapest reducer I could find. The bearings in the bottom cup literally fell out as I took my forks of to grease the headtube after a muddy ride, if I had know this would have happened I would have shelled out for a chris king one. The only reason for the 2 stars and not one is the price. 22 April 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by An Ok product, but nothing more Having just unboxed one of these there a few points future potential buyer should be aware of. 1) From the look of this I'd say it almost exactly the same as FSA Big Fat Pig headset with a extra plate it in the top cup and a slight wider one in the bottom. Based on this there is no reason they couldn't have just sold the parts as a 1.5 to 1 1/8 kit instead of a complete headset. 2) Be sure to check the bearing in the bottom cup, as on closer inspection before installing the bearing cage was upside down. This meant the crown ring wasn't sitting flush with the lower cup allowing moister to by pass the lower seal all together. 3) This headset isn't fully sealed. This isn't shocking unexpected considering the price (mine was £35) but it means you are going to need to be very generous with the grease while putting it in and on a regular basis after. It's a shame this couldn't be more like the Pig DH Pro as that's a sold bit of kit. Will have to see how this hold up but I'm not that convinced, you get what you pay for at the end of the day. 08 September 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Get what you pay for This was the least expensive headset I could find for my 1.5" head tube and tapered forks (I had to buy a 1.5" crown race too). Unfortunately it may have been a false economy. Less than 12 hours of admittedly winter riding and the bearings are already looking worse for wear and the crown race is pitted. I just don't think the sealing is good enough for UK winter riding. Heavy too. 11 January 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Rubbish, save your money Probably the worst headset I have ever seen, seals are junk, doesn't fit properly, clunky running. Should have bought a Hope. Only reason I bought it was there was one in the bike already, red with rust so I replaced with same, big mistake. 12 October 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by Inexpensive but heavy At 385 grams it's not exactly lightweight, but it's price is relatively cheap. Would probably consider a lighter one in future. 16 August 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by agree with mr anon,if you maintain this bearing its fine no problem!obviously needs looking after as its not a sealed unit.you get what you pay for! 02 June 2010
