Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Quality post for cheap!
I ordered mine from overseas when they first came out. I thought I got a deal then but now, here, they are dirt cheap! I guess the seatpost market is really competetive because this is a deal. Mine is for an old steel hardtail, 27.2x 400mm. I have it maxed out and have been very pleased with it. The build seems to be of great quality along with the hardwear. Its easy to adjust. I did alot of research before choosing this post. I concluded that alloys are still the best compared to carbon regarding weight, reliability and price. I wanted something light but not crazy light because I knew I'd be maxxing it out. I seen way too many carbon posts costing well over $100 fail at the binder and then I compared this to a Thomson and other than the name there is no reason to buy it. Yes I've seen Thomson posts fail too. The 2xxx series alloy is better than 6xxx and equal to 7xxx in strength which is good and the finish has been durable for me, the light machining prevents the post from sliding down and the head design seems to make sense-the way it supports for and aft movement. My only concern is the tapering before the head-a possible stress riser on models larger than my 27.2 due to the larger transition. If you are requiring a large diameter post this may be an issue if you are heavier . The one pictured is of the larger diameter and you can easily see the transition.
