These shorts are slightly more expensive than some other shorts but I think that it is definitely worth the price you pay. The gel inserts make the shorts far more comfortable that any others I have used. The shorts are comfortable and good quality. I would recommend getting them.

Did not realise how rubbish the padding in my existing shorts were until I started wearing these. For a few months I'd been suffering from the initial contact between the saddle and by rear end. After a few minutes of riding the pain would subside - but now with the Funkier shorts I have no discomfort at all.

Very comfortable pad. But for me, I would prefer not to buy a 14 panel again- they were my first shorts with this amount of panelling and think it is too much, especially on hot summer days. A major criticism of the Funkier shorts would be the non slip dots on the legs- they wear down after a year or so and allow the legs to start slipping up.

Really high quality padding, surprising at this price. Very comfortable for long rides. I use the 14 Panel ones for road cycling and the 7 panel for MTB as a liner short. Both are exellent!
Sizing was spot on for me using the guide.

Funkier's gel pad is better than all the other pads I've ever tried, which includes some very expensive brands. The construction is of high quality (especially considering their price tag).
I now own multiple pairs of gel padded Funkier cycling shorts and I almost always wear these despite having plenty of other cycling shorts in my wardrobe.

I was quite impressed with the fit and quality of construction but disappointed with the pad. After just 8 miles of riding I was feeling some hot spots and by 12 miles I was spending a lot of time out of the saddle just to reduce the friction. I bought a pair of the 10 panel shorts as well and had the same experience. This doesn't happen with any of the other shorts I own, so I can only attribute this to the pad.
