Rated 1 out of 5 by These are well made shorts - great gel chamois. BUT....the chamois seems to be stitched in way too low within the shorts. The chamois needs to be at least another 3 or 4 cm towards the rear (the chamois covers by 'man bits' way too much and when I sit on the saddle my bum pressure points are not covered. Would not recommend them to anyone :-( 19 January 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super comfy, very little chaffing. Essential for longer rides (60mile+) 29 August 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by I'd like to see if CRC can post a sizing chart, as well as 'fitting comments' to pieces of clothing.. Like for jerseys if they are racing (snug) or leisure (standard) or relaxed (loose). The shorts are as described - the materials and finish were excellent, padding was well stitched on and no scratching.. 07 August 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Just completed C2C from Ravenglass to Newcastle. Excellent shorts, they are not miracle workers ,still tender but not as much as last ride. I'm 36" waist and the large fit well enough. Can be worn unders baggy shorts or on their own 04 July 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Had these shorts close to a month now and am finding them extremely comfortable. I have been out in a couple of 80 mile rides and have found them to be adding to my enjoyment. The padding is all in the right places and gives the support where it is needed most. Looking forward to buying more Funkier items in the future. 29 June 2012

How thick is the pad?

I would really like to buy shorts with a thick pad to help my combination of skinny rear end and 1980s saddle. I'm not fussy about make or style, but I would prefer black and my budget is around 50e. Please help, long rides are a pain in the...

Answer:
Not really aware of any manufacturer that lists the thickness of the padding.
I would assume that the padding is approximately 10mm.

Until you have tried them on and used them, you won't know whether they will be suitable for yourself.
