I own a Garmin Forerunner 210 with the optional footpod. The watch is much less bulky than my previous Forerunner 205 which felt like something out of a Sci-Fi movie. It’s barely noticeable while running, and I am very particular about the weight of things on my wrists. GPS lock-on isn’t much faster than my previous 205 though, but it kept lock much better when I am under heavy trees cover.

The Heart Rate meter’s strap is very comfortable and barely noticeable while running.

The footpod was initially off by 5% before I calibrated it, but after a few tries I manage to get it down to 99%+ accuracy. The entire unit is very water resistant too, I’ve gone through a couple of long runs in massive showers to the point of partial submersion of my shoes in water. Worked through it without a hiccup. The footpod is also so lightweight that I can’t feel it while running.

One thing I wished for is a far longer runtime. This is because I’m into ultra running, and 9hours battery life just isn’t enough (I usually do 12hour+ runs). It’s more than enough for training runs though, but I would like to record my race distances/pace too. But I guess for something so small and light, you can’t pack all the features in and gps does tend to drain power pretty fast.
