A multi-sport, swim-proof GPS watch, ideal for triathletes and dedicated athletes. The Forerunner 310XT has a 20 hour battery life and is waterproof (IPX7), making it an indispensable training tool. With a high-sensitivity GPS receiver and HotFix™ satellite prediction, the Forerunner 310XT locates your position simply, quickly and precisely and maintains its GPS location even in heavy cover and near tall buildings and trees.

Transition Effortlessly: When you're ready to jump out of the water and onto the bike, Forerunner 310XT moves easily from wrist to bike with the optional quick release and bike mounts, making the transition between sports effortless. Forerunner 310XT categorizes multisport activities in one workout and can also log transition time in the process, so you can analyze your performance from start to finish.

Collect Workout Data: Forerunner 310XT tracks your position precisely with GPS satellite data and records time, distance, pace, heart rate (optional) and more. High-sensitivity GPS and HotFix™ satellite prediction means it acquires satellites quickly and tracks your movement even near tall buildings or under tree cover. And using innovative ANT ™ wireless technology, Forerunner 310XT connects seamlessly to an optional speed/cadence sensor or power meter (ANT ™-enabled third-party power meters) to give you advanced cycling data.

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Garmin Forerunner 310xt I bought this watch about 12 months ago now and will NEVER leave my house without it, It did everything I required while training for an Ironman last year. I found buying the bundle with cadence sensor helped me achieve my goals and gave me great feedback on my progress with the included Garmin software. Whether on the road running or climbing hills on my bike it never failed to give me instant readings on everything an amateur to elite athlete would need. At the end of a training session I would share my routes and training through iMap my run/ride which in turn would add extra motivation.
The strap and body of the Garmin have never shown any signs of wear and I would consider them bombproof. The heart rate monitor and cadence sensor work like most other devices. The heart rate strap is comfortable to wear and is still working with the supplied battery.
The Forerunners battery survived the 180K cycle and 42K of the marathon with plenty to spare during my Ironman constantly suppling me with my info as the race went on to keep my at the pace I needed to be at to finish the race. Some people suggest they are too bulky on your wrist but I would totally disagree, the forerunner is bigger than a wrist watch but It is no way obtrusive. Anybody looking to train towards multi sports event or marathon SHOULD get a Garmin Forerunner device, especially the 310xt! 12 September 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Garmin 310 XT I recently purchased a Garmin 310 XT with HRM. It has been the best investment that I have ever made. It has for the first time allowed me to monitor, measure and manage my performance quickly and easily. The quick release accessory has allowed me to effortlessly change from my cycle to running. I make full use of the Garmin connect to download my training data. Which means that I can intelligently plan my next training session based on the data from the previous ones. I would never leave home without it. 02 August 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Garmin Forerunner 310XT HRM Bundle This is a great training computer. Has large screen so is easy to read on run. Logs everything you would ever need. Rechargeable battery is great idea, so is vibrate alerts. Only thing I can think of that could be improved is if a fabric strap was made available as watch needs to be worn snugly on wrist to stop bouncing around. 02 August 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Garmin Forerunner 310xt HRM Bundle review I don’t know how I got by before my Garmin. And I can't imagine training or competing now without it. No other single device does what the Garmin does. I can't do a triathlon without it.

Whilst I'm in the water I don't really consider the Garmin much. But as soon as I'm out of the water, it's the very first thing I look at. I push a button as I run into T1 and push the same one on the way out, and do this at every transition. I don't need to stop and change watches.

On the bike I keep an eye on my distance, speed, elevation and time, but I could also choose from many more: cadence, pace, HR zones, laps or even power. I use my Garmin on both of my bicycles, and it comes with an easy-mount system so it can go from wrist to bike and back again with no fuss.

I go out on the run knowing exactly what is required to meet or break my PB. I know what pace I have to go from the start and I can check my progress as I go along. I can monitor my heart rate and how far I've run and for how long. I can compare my first kilometre with my 5th. I rely on my Garmin to inform me how fast I'm running when I get off the bike because I normally can't tell.

When I get home from racing or training, I put my Garmin down on the desk next to my computer and the two begin communicating. By the time I have a cold drink at hand, my stats are up on the screen for me to consider.

There's no better motivation than achievement, and there's no better way to measure this than with Garmin. 22 July 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great all around I have used this device for a full season of racing. Very intuitive interface and love being able to customize my screens with the data I want to see. I use it for cycling and multi-sport. The signal is accurate and rarely lost. You do need to give yourself some time for the watch to aquire a satellite signal, but other than that minor inconvenience, the watch works perfectly. Also,MyConnect is a fantastic web based interface that allows you to easily upload and track all of your workout data. Great device that I highly recommend! 30 June 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great piece of training kit I have had this for a year now and it has been great company on many long bike rides and runs on and off road. the fact that it is waterproof is a big plus as I can use it for adventure races and swimming. The big plus is the large memory and the vast amount of information you can recird and review. The biggest downside is the the battery life, you need to charge it every 3-4 days if you are training alot and it is also quite large on your wrist. 07 June 2011
