A tidy and efficient hoist that allows you to store bikes and other equipment up out of the way

  • If you have got the ceiling height (of up to 12 feet 3.65 metres), and ceiling strength, then this hoist will allow you to maximise space efficiency
  • The two-rope pulley system will keep your bike level throughout the operation, and reduces the effort required
  • A locking clutch system and a wall-mounted tie-off cleat ensure that what goes up stays up
  • Maximum recommended weight is 50 lbs / 25 kg
  • All fixing hardware is included, and some DIY is required

Rated 2 out of 5 by go for the heavy-duty version There is a heavy-duty version of this product (rated at 50kg). It's strengths are not its weight, but in that it is much easier to use. Each hook is controlled bya separate rope, so you can hoist each independently, allowing you to manoeuvre your bike as you see fit. This light-duty product only hoists with one rope, so your bike decides where to sit based on its own centre of gravity. Unfortunately the HD version is not (yet?) sold by CRC, but can be bought elsewhere in the UK. 17 November 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not a smart idea Works fine. But can only lift the bike straight up (as you'd expect from a rope lift), so there can't be anything in the way underneath the bike. And if you have that space on the floor, why are you storing your bike on the roof? 01 August 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by B quality but does the job I got one of these for christmass and was impressed by the small box, but everything is there. You only need to fix the two plates to the ceiling and the rope cleat to a wall. The materials used are not top notch (I could bend the hooks myself to make them properly align), but the whole set-up does it what it should do. Take your bike to a new level ;) Good luck installing! 27 December 2010
