Our first Air Attack™ was a revelation in styling and performance for all types of riding. Inspired by the original, the new generation Air Attack™ Shield delivers a lightweight, compact and extremely efficient aerodynamic design that slices through air. Features a magnetically fastened eye shield for wraparound eye protection that’s easy to remove during pre-race or warm-up. With an enhanced airflow design and the Roc Loc® Air system, this helmet has redefined the benchmark for performance.
Construction: In-Mold polycarbonate shell with EPS liner
Fit System: Roc Loc Air
Ventilation: 6 vents, internal channeling
Roc Loc® Air Fit System
The Roc Loc® Air system enhances comfort and stability while adding a new dimension to ventilation and cooling. With a unique design that suspends the helmet slightly above the head, it creates an optimized path for air to flow through the helmet with a Venturi effect that increases efficiency of the vents and internal ventilation channels. Like the acclaimed Roc Loc®5, it also offers micro-adjustable tensioning and vertical positioning adjustments, so you can fine-tune the fit and tilt on the fly with one hand. It’s a new level of skull-hugging luxury and cool that only Giro can provide!
WIND TUNNEL™ VENTILATION
Giro helmets are developed utilizing our proprietary Wind Tunnel™ ventilation system, which combines active vents with internal exhaust channels that thrust cool, fresh air over and around the riders head-while forcing heat and stale air out. This significant increase in air channeling makes a difference that riders will immediately feel and appreciate.
In addition to being very comfortable, our X-Static pads provide anti-microbial properties to help keep your helmet fresher, longer. The pads are also machine washable.
This helmet conforms to, or exceeds EU Standards only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TT88 excellent aero road helmet
Got this helmet for TT however now wear it most rides as its very comfortable.
fit is highly adjustable with vertical and circumferential adjustment
visor is exceptionally clear and has a high UV protection - a good solution for those with glasses and don't want to shell out for expensive prescription shades - enough room for regular frames and the visor comes down enough to conceal it too
relatively well ventilated but obv not as much as a regular high flow helmet- can get warm on super hot days. speed can force more air through the vents and cool you off more however
visor is magnetically attached but i find very solid - satisfying clack as it locks into place. bit of practice needed if flipping it on a ride, but easy once you get the hang of it
very shiny so will attract attention (esp if regular road riding and visor down ) - up to you whether thats good or bad

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shifty My new favourite piece of cycling gear
I have to admit I bought this helmet for the crazy looks I'd get from people on the street and in cars. I'm a bike courier and I suppose you know we're all a bit mad.
Having said that this helmet is amazing.
First day out it was in the mid to high 30s (Celsius) and I was worried about the heat factor. Shouldn't have been. The air flows through this helmet so well. You can actually feel it rushing across the top of your head.
As for the shield, the clarity is amazing. Takes a bit of getting used to wearing the helmet in the right position but once you do it's great. No rattle from the shield, the magnets hold it brilliantly up or down. Really keen to get my hands on a clear shield for the rainy days.
Glasses fit nicely under the shield too for the vision impaired amongst us.
The best thing is still the reason I bought it. It looks badass! People do a double take everywhere I go around Sydney's CBD. TOO MUCH FUN!
All in all a great helmet. A bit pricey I suppose but super comfortable and crazy looking!
