The Section takes the skate-style look to a higher level. Its low-profile shape is distinct yet minimal, and because the shell and EPS liner are integrated though our in-mold construction process, we’re able to save lots of weight. We’ve also optimized the front of the helmet to work great with our sunglasses and goggles, something we call Super Fit™. And with a wide range of graphics, there’s a Section to suit any taste or preference.
In-mold Construction: In-mold construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet’s impact-absorbing foam liner. The fusion process allows us to sculpt better ventilation systems, so In-mold helmets can be lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.
Wind Tunnel Ventilation: Giro helmets are developed utilizing our proprietary Wind Tunnel™ ventilation system, which combines active vents with internal exhaust channels that thrust cool, fresh air over and around the riders head-while forcing heat and stale air out. This significant increase in air channelling makes a difference that riders will immediately feel and appreciate.
Super Fit Engineering For Bike Hlemet: A great helmet is so comfortable that once it’s on, it virtually disappears. Our proprietary three-size Super Fit system is based on “human scale factors” data and over 20 years of crafting helmets for the best bike riders in the world. The result is pure Skull Hugging Luxury™, a helmet that fits 98% of the world’s population, yet looks (and fits) like it was custom made just for you.
Hardshell Construction: A hard shell helmet is made up of a durable plastic shell that is laminated to an EPS foam liner. They provide performance at a great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Superb product and service.
A superior product from Giro combined with the usual great service from CRC.
With my 62cm shaved or crew-cut head the large size is a perfect fit with the already fitted pads out of the box, it's brilliantly designed and has a huge comfort level, a real increase over my usual high quality single hardshell padded out skate pisspot that also fits me perfectly BTW. Also makes a great short journey and winter road helmet with the incredible light weight and impact protection. High level manufacturing in all areas of detail. Very pleased:}

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous good helmet!
I've used this helmet for a few months now.
First, it comes in at 270g.
Second, it has no adjustment knobs and comes in with three different sets of pads. so, if your head is a little small, u use the thicker pads. Also if your head is a little oddly shaped, you can probably use thick pads in the back, thin in the front and medium sized on top, should you wish to.
In the few months I haven't really tested it in crashes (luckily) but I dropped it a couple of times here and there and subjected it to wear and tear. It held up very well.
All in all, a good quality helmet that looks quite pretty (I have the green and maroon one with bears graphics) and does the function well.
Thumbs up for this comfy helmet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous good lid
I've had this helmet for over 6 months now. I love it, dead light. I don't notice I'm wearing it other than when I'm climbing hard in warmish weather, but then I just sling it on the handlebars like i would with any other lid. No way of adjustment other than strap length, but luckily the 51-55 fits me like a glove. It was a steal at £19, I see it has gone up to £25 now. Still worth it if you have the right sized head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Quite possibly as good as it gets for a helmet of this type. Giro say a lot about their in-mold construction but loosely translated it means you are getting a polystyrene liner with a very thin plastic shell bonded to it. The shell/liner join is seamless and it makes the helmet very light - lighter than my Giro Xen for example and 2/3 the weight of a Bell Faction. Construction and quality is up to Giro's usual high standards and there are three sets of pads so you can fine tune the fit. The shape of the liner is standard Giro and the sizing is pretty much spot-on - I have a huge 62cm head and I use the size L with a combination of the thick and middle set of pads.
