Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent quality and quiet! Thought I would treat my bike to some decent pads. Yes they are quite pricey but lovely and quiet and so quick to bed in. Superb 24 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best pads for exlixir breaks Been using these pads for about two years, so far i have used two sets front and rear and they have survived 3 weeks in whistler and about 15 riding days full DH here in sweden. No fade what so ever even on long desends. Works great in the wet too! 25 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good upgrade Defiantly a upgrade from stock pads and worth the extra money 08 December 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Just won't bite. I bought these to replace my standard pads as I wanted something that would work in the wet. After using them for London to Brighton and quite a few local rides they still don't ever have any bite. I cleaned the disc and roughed up the pads just in case they were glazed but it still hasn't made any improvement. 01 September 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Brilliant pads at a great price I recently brought 2 pairs of the Goodridge sintered pads to replace my worn original Avid Elixir 5 pads.As usual they arrived quickly from C.R.C and I was lucky enough to get them at a great price of £20 for 2 pairs. Fitting the pads was easy put I had to make sure the pistons were fully retracted into the caliper as the pads do seem quite thick, once this was done the wheel & disc was running smoothly & freely. The first ride after fitting was up at Llandegla on the 12-1-12 and the conditions were terrible with all the rain & mud etc but the pads bedded in quickly and were performing brilliantly. I run 203mm F & 185mm R discs and with these pads fitted they provide really good initial bite, low noise, and great stopping power, definitely better than the original avid pads. Highly Recomended. 16 January 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by top performing pad at a great price, I brought 2 sets of the sintered pads from C.R.C as they were at a bargin price to replace my original pads from my Avid Elixir 5's. Fitting the pads was simple but I found that you must make sure the pistons in the caliper are fully retracted as the pads do seem quite thick, but once set up the wheel & disc was running freely and smoothly.I took the bike out for the first time today since fitting the pads up at Llandegla (8/1/12) and considering it was raining and the trail conditions were crap the pads bedded in quickly and they were performing brilliantly.I run a 205mm F & 185mm R and the stopping power was a lot better than the standard Avid Pads that came with the brakes when I brought them.I know i'll definitely buy these pads again. 08 January 2012

I bought a pair of these for my avid xo brakes to upgrade to sintered, they look exactly the same as the old pads with the same amount of 'meat' on them as my old ones when they were new, but dont seem to fit properly? its almost as if i'd have to grind the brake surface completely down in order for the pads to fit..

Answer:
These pads should be compatible with any of the Elixir calipers. It sounds as if your pistons may not be fully reset - push them fully back into their bore before removing the old, worn out pads. You can damage the piston if you push directly on it, which is why you should always leave the old pads in place while doing this. Also, never reset the pistons with your new pads installed for the same reason.
Even when a pad change is done correctly, a slight amount of brake drag may be present; take the bike for a quick spin to break the new pads in and then recheck to see if the wheel now turns freely. If not, you may need to re-centre the caliper by loosening the Avid CPS bolts, holding the brake on and then re-tightening the caliper bolts (a small amount of freehand fine tuning may also be needed to get it perfect)
