Rated 5 out of 5 by Spud71 Alloy collar review
I'm using the stainless fittings and collars on one bike, and alloys on another.
Goodridge hose fittings and collars in stainless are seemingly made from unobtainium and virtually indestructible. They certainly are nicely finished and worth the investment if you are going to swap brakes, bikes, hoses or any combination thereof.
The alloy collars however, are certainly not as tough as their stainless brethren. Careful torquing and assembly is a must or you will mar the anodisation, and strip, break or otherwise ruin the collar or fitting threads.
Both fittings and collars in either alloy or stainless are very nicely made, and compliment the braided hoses. Proper installation with care is an absolute must. When installed correctly, the result is a very firm lever feel, easier modulation, and worry-free brake lines that can be re-purposed between brake brands and bikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous just brilliant
these collars have allowed me to set up several sets of disc brakes when used with other goodridge fittings it makes the process of fitting hoses simple and straight forward (just make sure you get the right size)and they are reusable something other disc brake manufacturers should take note as there is no need for the once used discard olive that other discs use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous These alloy fittings require careful fitting to avoid damaging the finish. Fitted properly they look brilliant, and really enhance the appearance of a bike. Try mixing different coloured collars and connectors for the ultimate in bike blingness.
If you're not too concerned with the 'tart' side of your bike, go for the more durable finish of the stainless fittings.
