Rated 5 out of 5 by Oli2013 Super stiff cable
This cable is STIFF! After first install it made my steering really stiff, it settled down a bit but you can still feel a little resistance and it is brutal to unprotected frame paintwork. Naturally this stiffness is great for shifting qualities. I couldn't really say that these were any better than the XTR cables I had before but the little blue mini-outers are a nice touch for covering exposed cable betwen cable stops, a simple idea to prevent mud getting in one of the few places it can.

Good quality product as you would expect from Goodridge. The cable housing is wider than standard shimano housing so it might cause problems with guiding or internal routing for some (I discovered it doesn't easily fit though the internal routing on the swingarm of a 575 for example). I can't fault the product though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BigglesMeister Not enough outer supplied for bikes with full cable runs
The kit comes with 2 metres of outer which is too short for bikes that require full cable runs front and rear. You would expect that Goodridge would realise this and point it out or simply supply enough cable in the fist place. Once your bike is in bits the only option is to replace one cable then order more cable for the remaining run which is a waste of time.

I have used these kits on various bikes over the last few years with no trouble so far,I find the cables a bit naff so use my own but otherwise Great!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous Beware length of outer
Bought this kit for a Specialized Epic Sworks.... To my surprise though, there is only just enough of the outer cable for the rear gears....
And you don't sell the carbon in on its own as you do white outer.... So I now either leave it with miss matched front and rear cables or have to pay full price for another whole kit that I really don't need?

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Great alternative to Gore
I've used Gores sealed cable before and these are just as effective at half the price. Outer is usefully stiff. Good quality inners and end stops and if you can't run a whole length the blue tube fills in the gaps to seal the whole run. It's a once a year job for super slick shifts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Excellent shifting! Miles better than shimano cables i repaced. Be warned though if you have full length sealed cables there is no way enough to do both front and rear mechs. I did my Lapierre Zesty rear and was left with 15cm of outer for front! So you will need to order more outer if you have. Also you will need very good cutters to get through the outer. I used a pair of large engineering wire cutters and struggled even with those.
Once fitted they are very good quality and have ordered more for my kids bikes.
