Rated 2 out of 5 by senior77 cavi molto belli e rigidi ma il kit avrebbe dovuto contenere almeno 2,5 M di guaina

Rated 3 out of 5 by Neilg I expected better from Goodridge
I have the clear kit on my Trek and while initially really good quality feeling, loads of ferrules etc eventually water ingresses the outer cables even with the extended cable ends. My outers have now gone a nice shade of rust colour on the inside (being clear you can see this from outside).

Rated 1 out of 5 by Cangofaster Just got sticky fast
I thought these looked good being white but I wish I had just stuck to reliable cables. They were never really friction free but after a winter of use they became pretty unusable. Very disappointed compared with top-end Shimano cables which I have now returned to after less than 6 months!

The British weather, mud and grit will take its toll on your drive train - gum up your cables - particularly in less than fair weather. The Goodridge cable system is more value for money than the Gore ride on (and other more expensive) and providing you take the time to trim and fit the cable outers and sleeves correctly they will keep you shifting crisply and cleanly all year round.
The outers are armoured too which is great for the price and the inner cables pre stretched so there is not so much faffing after fitting (bedding in period).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Oli2013 Super stiff cable
This cable is STIFF! After first install it made my steering really stiff, it settled down a bit but you can still feel a little resistance and it is brutal to unprotected frame paintwork. Naturally this stiffness is great for shifting qualities. I couldn't really say that these were any better than the XTR cables I had before but the little blue mini-outers are a nice touch for covering exposed cable betwen cable stops, a simple idea to prevent mud getting in one of the few places it can.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 1234567 Wider than standard shimano hose
Good quality product as you would expect from Goodridge. The cable housing is wider than standard shimano housing so it might cause problems with guiding or internal routing for some (I discovered it doesn't easily fit though the internal routing on the swingarm of a 575 for example). I can't fault the product though.
