I bought these pads little over 2 months ago, they were quick to bed in and responded very well in the dry.
They organic pads I bought though really did not like the wet, about 3 hours into my 4 and a half hour ride the back pad had completely worn through to the metal which meant I had to limp around the remained of what could have been some excellent single track at Dalby forest in Yorkshire.
Overall very disappointed with the pads and would not recommend for use in anything other than bone dry conditions.....waste of £25.

Running these pads for over 12 months racing sundays and too work in all conditions great in the dry and a little weak when the rain turns up. Still going after 12 months so wears ok. better than the standard pads.

Bought the organic pads the other day and fitted them to my specialized hardrock and they are a great replacment after using shimano for a long time. i feel the the goodridge pads are far better and great stopping power would buy again.

Bedded them in with a couple of short dry weather rides but only 2km into a wet & muddy ride performance was deteriorating & were down to the metal after 5km. Very disappointing as I had expected good mud performance after reading other positive reviews.

Just fitted a pair of the sintered pads to the tandem and took it for a spin in the Lakes. Have used Shimano (don't last 5 mins) and Aztec (last OK but the braking wasn't brilliant) in the past.
These things are the dogs danglies when it comes to stopping that tandem. They handled 25% road descents, where we'd normally have to add front brake to keep under control, on their own. Can't comment on the lifespan yet, but I'll post back when they're worn out.

Did 30 miles in the dry and they seemed good. Bed in quickly. Took the bike out last night in the wet. Pads were down to the metal after six miles in the wet.

I agree with all Nick has to say. I have the shimano mechanical disc brakes and the shimano organic pads would literally fall apart if you used them in wet muddy conditions (within hours.) My 160mm rotors also say organic pads only - I think the issue must be heat because I haven't had any other issues(no loss of power.)I look at it this way -they aren't going to be worse for the rotors than metal on metal which is what the organic pads ended with very quickly. Go and get some for winter, you will save cash in the long run. NB- All comments refer to winter xc riding....not down hill where you will get big heat build up on the disc.
