Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Transform your bike Cant understand why I waited so long to get a dropper post, this will completely change your bike. I use it all the time on small jumps, in a nice freeride session with berms and pumps and its super awesome when you hit the trail down hill with drops and lots of roots, U gain so much more control when you can get so low because the saddle isnt in the way. 29 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gravity Dropper got it right.. Waited for the Thomson 27.2 for months and then gave up - wished i'd given up earlier. This is a solid bit of kit & the 1" drop on the multi is just right for rough trail riding. The plastic bar clamp looks weak, but works ok - just be careful not to over tighten when fitting. There is a spare in the box.. 11 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simple, reliable, overall great product After 6 months of riding in all conditions the Gravity Dropper is still working as new. 07 August 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by First impressions are great apart from the plastic bar clamp Recieved this item today and it seems great as my bike with it's 27.2mm seat tube is limited in choice, this has three heights which are up, down 1 inch and down 4 inches. I fitted it to the bike and found a location I liked to fit the bar clamp. I used assembly paste and set my torque wrench to 2nm and went about tightening each side uniformly and then things went wrong. The clamp that affixes the other side of the remote lever snapped before I had even hit 2nm! Now obviously I not happy about this and looked on CRC for a replacement part, they are £3 but were out of stock. The whole lever assembly is about £13 and I didn't really want to pay for that so I hunted around a bit. Luckily for me I had an old hayes stroker kicking around which has a split bar clamp exactly the same size so I have used that instead. This item really lets itself down by having such a cheap component like this when everything else feels and looks well made. The actuation of the seat is good and there is no rotational play or fore & aft movement and the 3 positions are perfect for what I wanted. I look forward to trying this seatpost out ASAP despite my slight let down this evening. On a side note CRC delivered in excellent time as ever. 29 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Not flash, but bombproof I have the older non-remote control version. 3 years and not a single bit of maintenance other than keeping it clean and it is still working perfectly. I'm only considering servicing it properly now out of guilt... I have an oldish Ti hardtail that I cannot face parting with and this is perfect for that. Highly recommended for older but still functional 27.2 bikes. 22 April 2014
02 December 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Basic but works well I've had an older one of these for a few years and it's still going. I have one on all my MTB's generally speaking they are reliable if serviced regularly which doesn't take much. Friends have had the more expensive Rock Shox etc and had problems with them. These are more basic and rustic but less to go wrong. 02 November 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by If you need a dropper, then this will do! Some of you will remember the first MX Pro Marzocchi forks, or the All Mountain forks when they out in 2005. This seat post is like these products. Why? Because just like those forks, and the orange Z1's, this seatpost just keeps on going. There has been no servicing, cleaning, looking after or general interest given to this yoke for almost 2 years, and it still goes up and down, down and up, down a little, down all the yay and backup all the way, or a little. The only replacement I've need was the little clampy bracket for the handle bar lever, but then again this seatpost has lived on 2 bikes and 5 handle bars, so wear and tear is expected of little plastic parts. 17 September 2013

Answer:
The minimum insertion lever for Gravity Dropper is 85mm.

Minus 85mm off the total length of the post length you choose and this will give you the length from seat collar to saddle rail at maximum extension.

I'm ridding a banshee rune v2 and having a seat tube of 300mm and I'm now using a 350mm x 30.9 straight tube. Can I order a 350mm x 4" dropper to substitute my present seat tube?

Answer:
Sure; as long as the diameter is correct and you have enough room in your seat tube for the post. This 350mm should be ok as a replacement to your existing 350mm post.
