Rated 4 out of 5 by Looks trick, works well Nice wide flange to the cog and many different size cogs are available. The spacers look lovely, though they can't be used to adjust the chainline. This isn't particularly a problem in practice, as the kit is designed for use with 5/64" (9 speed) chains, which can tolerate a slightly sideways run. If you're using this kit with single-speed, half-link or 1/8" chains and having problems, it's your own fault, because you bought the wrong kit/chain. 20 December 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I've had this on my trials bike for a while, works well but my chain digs into the spacers a bit. I wasn't able to fit my previous chain (Wippermann 1G8) because it was too big to fit, I guess this was inevitable due to the small size of the sprocket. I'm planning on getting another for my next bike but I'll probably try filing down the spacers to fit my Wippermann chain. Solid construction though, I'd still recommend it if you have a normal size chain. 03 March 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Just works Easy to install, never had any problems with this. The cog has a nice wide base, so it won't damage your freehub. Loses a star because it's not very adjustable. 10 November 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by good sprocket, dubious spacers. i've owned the double six sprocket before, it is definitely the way forward owing to the wide flange others have mentioned. the complete kit ain't so hot, it wouldn't fit on my freehub body correctly without an additional spacer, i also had to machine the sprocket and the spacers back to avoid the half link chain i use gouging chunks out of both. it maybe ok with 9 speed chain and on other rear hubs, but i would recommend the sprocket on it's own and a more simple spacer kit, which would afford you more choice of chain line and save a bit of weight. 10 November 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by great quality product, good thinking by gusset with the wide base sprocket so it doesn't leave grooves on an alu freehub body. 5 stars. 02 November 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good thing, but 12t doesn`t works well with spank tweet tweet single speed chain. Give only 3 as it forced me to buy another sprocket 01 November 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by best single speed converter! first and foremost, it didnt eat into the freehub body...had it on a cheap shimano m475 hub for 2 months, didnt leave any ripping marks..effortless to remove to get in on new wheelset..! get these over those narrow and deep tooth single speed converters..the deep tooth damaged my hope-pro2 freehub body..and that sucks.. 04 December 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by very simple and good device who likes dirt 06 August 2009

Answer:
Yes; this kit is designed to fit onto your existing cassette freehub body, so will still operate as a freewheel.
