Rated 2 out of 5 by Wheel ok but bizarre not to include rim-tape on a built wheel? The wheel was ok, despite being sent fixed/fixed not fixed/free as ordered. Just that it's a bit tight to not include rim-tape on a built wheel...at least mention the fact it's not included on the wheel detail page. 30 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by 3.5 years - still true Bought a fluro yellow rear double fixed in mid 2009. been on my bowery since then. still running true after several thousand miles. and i am a lump. paint has chipped on the rim where i have spooned off the tyres, but thats to be expected. 28 February 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Achetée en Black 700c Fixed/Freewheel. Roue bien finie, bonne qualité de roulement mais avec un léger saut à la sortie du carton. Attention! Livrée sans contre ecrou ! 14 February 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Very nice wheel but no place for a chaintug!!! Very nice wheel at a reasonable price, so far so good on my CX rig. The axle is too narrow though, non place for a chaintug/tensioner, hence the 3 stars. What's up with that, this is supposed to be a single speed wheel! 12 November 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by Ouaiff Belle finition, moyeux de bonne qualité. Prix raisonnable, mais roue légèrement fragile, pliée sur un saut de marches ! 09 September 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome! Great wheel at a great price! 30 August 2010

Answer:
The Fixed/Freewheel version runs a standard Fixed gear on one side of the hub, and can be switched to run a screw-on freewheel on the other. The Double fixed version can run a fixed gear on either side of the hub. Either version can be set up as a fixed gear wheel, so you can use whichever one you prefer.
