ODI X-Trainer MTB Lock-On Bonus Pack Grips

Ideal for fixed and single speed bikes as they hold the axle tighter than a QR. Anodised Alloy end cover and nut with Cr-Mo threaded rod using an Allen type Hex key fitting. Lightweight, sleek and an ideal upgrade for improved security – as there’s no QR lever. The “Nut” features a steel Halo “no-turn tab”, making doing up these Skewers and releasing them a lot easier than trying to hold the nut from spinning at the time.

  • Black anodised Alloy end cover and nut.
  • Steel "No-Turn" tabbed nut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by I would definitely recommend this product for everyone I was a bit afraid of trying those skewers after I've read negative comments from other members. Apparently, the product was easy to break. I've ordered a pair to try, and I don't regret that purchase. Have been using them for several months now, no problems whatsoever. They keep my wheels secure, they look astonishing (white, powder coated) comparing to standard quick release skewers that usually come with a hub. I do variety of different trails riding, from recreational cross country to nasty flat landings. One thing to remember (that rule applies to every single bolt in bicycle), do not over tight them. They is no point of doing that, everything will snap under high tension. I'm ordering another pair for my girlfriend, because of the price tag and range of colours I would classified this product as a must-have bargain... It makes your wheels being a bit more difficult to 'borrow', plus it's a good way of making your bicycle look more aesthetic 18 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Deters wheel theft. Simple and effective wheel theft. Installed the 100mm skewer to my son's front wheel mtb and used the 135mm to my rear wheel. So far so good. 17 May 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great idea but a bit weak Thee worked well for a small tour on a 26" expedition bike but after coming back and servicing the bike the front skewer sheared off even when only applying the recommended torque. A shame as I really liked the concept and look of these. 30 April 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by О бедном штыре замолвите слово! Незаменимая вещь, если вы вдруг решили перейти на болты. Не обязательно идти к фрезеровщику 7-го разряда, с пузырём :) 26 April 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by works ok, cant buy single. These work fine, but you cant buy just one for the rear wheel. I did not need the front one as I have 20mm. The tab means you only need one allen key. 17 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Really good Great stuff. Light, strong, cheap and look good. I've had so much trouble with QRs in the past (coming loose half way through a ride is not what you want!) these are 10x lighter than the cheap QRs that work and 10x cheaper than the light QRs! No brainer. Only thing is you need an aln key but most people alway have one to hand. Got a pair for my girlfriend as well. 23 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent piece of kit Best e-shop for price and delivery. Rode these skewers for about 2 weeks. Brilliant. I ride a 29er single-speed and they are much better than normal quick release skewers. They even work safely when an idiot (me) fails to ensure I've put the back wheel on properly. 07 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo Sgancio rapido con chiavetta brugola molto efficiente per fixed o singlespeed per evitare furti di ruote o x chi ha problemi di tensione catena o simili!!Very Good 24 February 2014

Skewer diameter?

Will these fit XT Hubs? I notice it lists the skewer diameter as 6 & 6.5mm, is this correct or are they a non standard size? The XT's have a 5mm diameter QR.

Answer:
Product description can confuse potential buyers...

Standard size (the most popular) quick release is 9mm for the front hub, and 10mm for the rear one. Therefore, front screwer diameter will be 5mm, and 6mm for the rear. There is an exception, like DT Swiss hubs, where quick release screwers are combination between standard screwer and a bolt through. For those types of hubs there is an appropriate Halo XL model

Answer: Yes, they will fit (I was running XT hubs myself)

Answer:
We would not recommend quick release skewers on the rear of this frame due to the horizontal dropouts. A bolt up rear hub would be the best option.

Are these standard sizes?

Hi

Are these standard sizes?
I just bought a Shimano R501 Front Wheel which came with a QR skewer but I'd prefer a more secure method.
Will these fit?

Thanks

Answer:
Yes, these are sized for a standard front QR setup and should be fine on your R501 front wheel. You could also consider a road specific set such as the PZ Racing, which have their own tool fitting rather than a standard hex fitting
