Other brake systems use organic friction materials in their brake pads to insulate the caliper from the heat generated during braking. Unfortunately, their performance falls off dramatically in wet conditions and they wear rapidly in dirty and muddy environments.
But Hayes developed a special frictional material for Harley-Davidson® motorcycles that provides the same positive braking…dry, wet or muddy. Plus, our non-organic pads provide longer life…especially in dirty and muddy conditions. You'll also like our quick pad change…it can be done in seconds without tools!

These pads are good. I have only ever bought the genuine replacement pads for my Stoker Ryde. I do alot of cycling off road, and I do find that they wear out quite quickly in the winter with all the mud and water, however you seem to get more wear in the summer when its dry. This seems to be the same senario with all disc pads among the guys who I ride with. They give you great stopping power.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous they last quite long being sintered, i prefer organic pads but these provide plenty of power.

These pads stop the bike very quickly and with little noise. They will however be replaced every month or so if you are a frequent rider. I would recommend looking at the Clarks version instead (less then half price and much harder wearing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous These pads were on my "Cube Nature 2009" bike, which I bought on December 2008. After 2.300 km (50% on road and 50% off-road) the rear pads have worn a lot but the front ones are still OK, so I just changed their position.
The pads provide excellent breaking and the only problem that I faced was the noise produced in some cases, particular in off-road rides. However, the problem was almost completely solved when I replaced the stroker ryde discs with the shimano XTR discs.

Well when I first got the new pads I was very impressed. However after less than 300 miles of riding they feel as though they have worn about halfway through already. They are still stopping me well but I know I will have to spend another £26 pretty soon. I am now on the look for another brand that fits the Hayes Stroker Ryde brake system.

What can I say. The pads are a identical to those supplied with the Cube Acid and swaping out the old pads for new is a matter of minutes. Perfect as far as I am concerned.
