Improved Reach Adjust: Tool-free design that is independent of the contact adjustment. This feature has improved durability and aesthetics over the existing Stroker design. Additionally, mechanical advantage is fixed regardless of lever home position. This means you get the same power and feel with the lever set close to the grip as you do with it set further away.
Mechanical Leverage Ratio: Increased throughout the entire lever stroke, resulting in a high power level later in the stroke. This promotes progressive braking that is more predictable (modulation).
Hydraulic Power Ratio: 20% increase in hydraulic ratio over the Stroker Trail. Higher clamp force on the rotor is reached with the same given input at the lever blade.
New Technology: Components
Performance Hose- A new four layer low expansion hose tuned for the Prime’s high mechanical and hydraulic ratios. Power transfer to the caliper pistons is more precise and system feel is more consistent regardless of front and rear hose lengths.
Hayes Tube Tops- Protect the frame’s head-tube and headset cup finish from abrasion and wear at the point where the hydraulic hose makes contact.
Prime Hardware- Nickel plated, titanium and anodized aluminum fasteners resist corrosion and maintain the high-end finish. All hardware is designed and tested to meet precise torque values.
Lever Bushings- New press fit Titacon CL 500 bushings are used in the master cylinder body. This results in precise tolerances and better bearing surface between the lever blade and the body. The system will have smoother actuation and no lever slop.
Clamp Attachment Method- A new two-piece design that allows the master cylinder to be removed without affecting other handlebar components. This offset system is tightened to a stop on the primary side and tightened with a torque wrench on the secondary. This distributes the clamp force evenly on the handlebar and aids in proper assembly.

Долго к ним присматривался, читал отзывы и обзоры. Купил. Уж точно не жалею! Имеются определенно удобные опции, как регулировка расстояния тормозной ручки до руля, например. К тому же, можно регулировать расстояние колодок до ротора, в случае если первые начинают изнашиваться. Достаточно немного их сдвинуть и еще откатать несколько сот километров. Недостатков пока не выявил. Работают надежно даже в самых тяжелых условиях! И в грязи, и на высокой скорости.

I have had many Hayes brakes throughout my biking life and this set of prime pros (supposed to be the best available) have been the worst, they are super loud, lack in power completely and are a pain to set up as they seem to have a smaller pad clearance than the other sets i have owned. not only do they have performance issues but build quality isn't great either as the master cylinder seems to have developed a leak and i have only been riding them locally (within 1 mile of my house).

Rated 4 out of 5 by r0wley After initial apprehension due to leaking fluid these brakes take up 100%....zero fluid loss with fantastic consistent performance.
Like with other reviews mine also came leaking fluid straight out of the box. I was however optimistic they'd develop a seal under heat expansion and to my delight they did and haven't leaked since (1.5 years constant usage). As for the performance well I couldn't ask for anything more.They deliver extreme stopping power, excellent adjustability with long wearing pads. My only criticisms are also as mentioned, cad plated hardware which should have come in Ti and yes they squeal big time with any water on the discs, thankfully it don't last long.

The levers are coated in brake fluid, not a good thing to start with. These brakes are not MY2013, must be way earlier as they lack some of the features of the updated version e.g. Cross hair alignment (whatever that might be) and the bolts are not titanium (the magnet test doesn't lie).
I got them as a trial, well now it seems I get the error.
Plus, in the hand they feel heavy like made out of tungsten! (not a deal breaker for me if i'm honest)

Rated 1 out of 5 2 pairs so far and both leaking out of the box
I have not got as far as testing these brakes yet... I'm on my second pair 'new' from CRC and they have both had brake fluid leaking from the piston or master cylinder out of the box!
I am not impressed to say the least, Im going to try one more pair for luck but not holding out much hope. If they work i'll give a product test review
anyone else had this problem?

They performs very well in all conditions, braking performance of excellent with no change in all weather. after the first 50-65 brakes to get the brake pads worn in they perform with out a fault. the only CON is when in heavy rain and the pads are cold you get a high pitch noise until they work up, which may or may not annoy you.
Great brake which has a very good performance and is one of the highest reliable brakes on the known market.
Bought this brake from CRC about half year to replace my rubbish avid juicy 3 front brake.
