Rated 5 out of 5 by chunky Simple replacement & re vitalize an old hub
I have fitted the Titanium version to my xc race bike, the steel to my enduro bike. Good quality components easy to fit if you know how. Fit and forget.

My rear hub has lasted 7 years as I don't use degreaser or a pressure washer on my bike, just replaced bearings in hub and freehub.
Can't beat Hope components, treat them nice and when muddy don't spray water dispersent on them as it gets into bearings and strips out the grease..

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Do you two not read the manual for your hub. Hope recermend that u regrease ur freehub body once a month. As for the body stripping, get a decent cassette. THey strip cos u have cheapo cassettes that move on the freehub body. THe higher end shimano cassettes have an aluminium body and these will deffinetly not strip the freehub body

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous great hubs but this is purly a crap cassette body, when i went to change to single speed i tried to get the cassette off but this came off with it, after a bit of hammering i got the cassette off. there was a lot of disfiguring in the cassette body(soft metal or sumin?)but luckaly the single speed kit still went on
Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous I have had a Hope XC hub for well over a year and have abused it good and proper. I have not experienced the severaty of damage reported by some people above. When installing a cassette plenty of greese should be smeered upon the freehub body. This layer of fluid stops the cassette from digging into the free hub body, by dissapating peddle loads. Seems to work for me as i have never had to hammer any of my hope components to disassemble them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous All Hope kit is top stuff and these freehubs are just great too. They're easy to service, easy to replace and make a top noise. Keep an ear out for cleaning whenever they get a little quiet and they'll last longer than everything else on your bike.

As for the cassetts digging into the body, you wouldn't buy cheap replacement parts to put in your Ferrari, so high end cassetts, namely XT, work just fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous I agree comletely with the previous comment, the metal that the freehub body is made of is sub-standard. I find that cassettes start to dig in after only a couple of months of riding, never had such problems with shimano hubs and even cheapo no-name jobbies. After about 7 months its time to get the hammer out! I'm not really impressed with the quality here, must be good marketing that gave hope its reputation.....
