After 2 years xc racing I could hear the 'click' was out of sync. The pawls had worn. I stripped the free hub very easily replaced the pawls & springs lightly greased points. For such little cost the free hub is like new again.
If you use an elastic band to hold the pawls in place as you lower free hub into hub body, or wrap your fingers around as I do and gently lower into position.
Then listen to the nice new click of your new free hub.

Helps to keep everything working properly. The originals have been replaced twice before and they have shown signs of rounding off. These new parts will keep it all working like fresh.

I managed to open my hub while doing some wheel work, and ended up damaging the springs, hence this purchase. For the cost of a hope hub, it's value for money.
However, I also have a hope pro2 hub that I've had a part, and its springs are much better; the whole system seems less prone to failing -lighter too.
That said, the original pro hubs last, and it's worth spending the money to keep them going.

The only time i needed to go here was due to a fumble where I dropped the spring and lost it / didnt get it back in properly and it bent them. That was 5years ago. That was one pawl, the others are untouched after 10years of mud/rain/sand, they are still going fine. Pack lightly with grease and annually repack and you should be fine with these - even in wet muddy conditions.

I had a legacy Corima hub and could no longer source the pawls, these looked similar so I bought them and made some minor mods to the freewheel body and these have done the job perfectly for the last 8 months. Done 4000km with no issues.
