Hope Pro 2 Evo Disc Rear 12mm

The now proven range of Pro2 hubs have gone from strength to strength since they were launched. Countless tests, reviews and of course rider feedback have shown that the Pro2 is everything that we designed it to be.

This hub features a one piece 7075 aluminium rotor body and pawl carrier. Four pawls engage into a twenty-four tooth steel ratchet which is fixed into the hub shell and is sealed with a frictionless, non contact labyrinth seal. The axle runs on five cartridge bearings. All Pro2 hubs are standard 6 bolt disc compatible

Hope Pro 2 Evo Disc Rear 12mm Features:

  • The hub shell is machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aluminium.
  • CNC machined in Barnoldswick, England

Rated 5 out of 5 by A great quality rear hub that is reconfigurable Another quality Hope product. Finish is tops, and the hub is reconfigurable (axle type), so can be used between bikes. Get one to build up into a custom wheel set and use for a long time. If anything goes wrong, the hub is completely rebuildable, and Hope's customer service is brilliant. 04 August 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Awesome Great hubs as always from hope. Hope gear is expensive which is why i'll only give it 4/5 but you get what you pay for, fast, smooth and easily servicable. Do not go by the previous reviewer ive looked after many of these hubs and no problems. yes the alloy freehub will get dinged by the cassette but unless you run a steel freehub ala atomlab then thats a given. my ringles did it, my shimanos have done it so its not really a valid point as steel freehubs can be purchased. one tip for helping on that front (although it should be bein done anyways) is to slap some grease on the freehub befre the cassette goes on, TF2 i use personally. The other great thin is that if your requirements change you can quite easily convert these fro say qr to 12mm thru. Buy em and dont look back 11 November 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Soft metal rubbish Another soft metal fail from Hope. I have tried to stay faithful and purchased a few Hope items and many of them have failed such as the seat clamp and this rear hub. Over priced and soft, your cassette will tear into the freehub and then almost lock on if you haven't noticed. Hope then will advise you to run XT or XTR (which I do) to avoid this. When I said I already run XT they simply stopped replying to my emails. Pity as before they have had great customer service. AVOID 04 September 2012

Answer:
The 135x12mm dimension refers to the axle and dropout size of the frame. The hub is suitable for a frame with droputs 135mm wide and running a 12mm diameter, for a 12mm thru-axle.
