Another small part to have a redesign this year. The collar on the seat clamp is now a universal style - meaning either bolted or QR can be achieved on the same collar (the QR does not come with a bolt, and vice versa).

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bronson Excellent finish
Excellent finish to the seat clamp as you would expect from Hope. Comes with an alloy bolt which does feel like it needs to be torqued up a little more than usual so I can see how people have snapped them hence only 4 stars.

This clamp doesn't need to be tightened up too much to hold your post in place and if you over tighten it with big monkey hands or that giant allen key your great uncle used to service tractors with then you'll snap it cos this is a lightweight clamp that also has a lightweight bolt.

A good clamp which grips nicely without the need to tighten the bolt up massively, excellent British engineering.

Unfortunately, the bolt snapped with not much of an effort. Very cheap bolt, but well designed/machined clamp. Fortunately on the other hand that it is not difficult nor expensive to get a similar steel high grade bolt and replace it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous Looks Awesome, Didn't last too long.
Unfortunately there aren't many 30.0 seat clamp options in CRC so i decided to buy this one for my Riot frame.
I Usually don't tighten the seat clamp too much because there's no point anyway.
However even with the little pressure i applied the bolt head snapped.
Hope never wanted to give me a refund / discount for a new one.
which is understandable. its not the seat clamp itself that failed but
the bolt. they can't really prove i hadn't over tightened it.
Overall, this seat clamp looks good, it's machined nicely.
But the bolt it comes with is poorly designed and feels cheap.
So design wise it gets 5/5 but durability is 1/5.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous Bolt not strong enough.
My saddle kept slipping down gradually and instead of being gentle with it as usual I gave it a proper tighten and the bolt snapped. Too delicate. Alloy seat bolts are a bad idea especially hollow ones. Looks nice but get one for a couple of quid with a steel bolt.
