Downhill versions made with Stick-E rubber and CAP Ply casing with bead insert. Nevegal Lite made with dual tread compound L3R Pro. Tall knobs designed to penetrate and hold on loose terrain.
L3R Pro - Low rolling resistance rubber compound used in lightweight cross country applications. Benefits are low rolling resistance, increased tread life and a lighter tyre.
Stick-E - Slow rebounding rubber compound for the ultimate in traction control. The slow rebound ratio of the rubber, acts as a suspension, allowing the tread to conform to the trail surface rather than bouncing off of it. Stick E rubber is used in two applications. One is over the entyre tread surface (Freeride/Downhill) the other is on the outside knobs used on cross country applications for outstanding traction in the corners.
CAP Ply - Originally developed for our motorcycle tyres, CAP Ply is puncture resistant material designed to prevent pinch flats.
Rated 4 out of 5 by fatmarmot Very good front tyre
Have used the DTC 2.35 tyre on the front and found it to be a very good, trustworthy tyre. Weight is 650g for the 2.35 which measures 59-60 mm at it's widest point (knob-to-knob).
There are probably better tyres for the rear, (I like a rear specific tyre for better traction) but a friend is pleased with it on the rear. Reverse the direction of rotation for more traction (on the rear).

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous Good grip , terrible sidewalls
Love this tyre grip and riding quality but sidewalls are terrible.
4 Kenda Nevegal's and 4 ripped sidewalls is probably a good indication that there is a problem. That's me off to get a Minnion goodbye Nevegal.

These tyres are good on gravel and for basic xc but i have found that in the very thick mud they let go on the front wheel and can't get enough traction on the mud going up hill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous These came stock on my SC Blur. I've tried other tyres and even condition specific tyres but always come back to the Nevegal. You just can't beat the grip or low rolling resistance in all kinds of conditions and they last long too. People say there isn't an 'aal-round' tyre, well, this is it! Team this up with a good price from CRC and you've got a friggin' good tyre.
Good tip, on the rear, use it in the opposite direction to what is shown on the tyre. You will get better grip when pedalling you will also get better grip when braking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous I used the Xc's on my cross country bike and they tend to wash out alot when cornering. Also the rear wore out faster then any of my tyres. Cheap though .
For dry trails only!

Been riding this tyre on the back of my Reign for a year now, its been great. Only now well worn and missing a few knobbles is it starting to let go in the wet and let me down on really steep climbs. I can't rate it highly enough, confidence inspiring due to its predictable handling and great grip in all conditions. The large volume for a 2.1 makes it comfortable too taking a good deal of trail vibrations off you and your bike. Even in the prolonged snowey period around new year it allowed me to plough on while friends floundered on lesser tyres. In short A++++++

These seem to roll quite well on tarmac without the drag I had previously. They don't clog badly on the forest tracks we get round here in Suffolk and have reasonable edge grip. Going round here is relatively soft though.
