Rated 5 out of 5 by Great winter tyre I've been using this tyre for a few months now, it is relatively a fast rolling tyre for a nobbly, it has never clogged up, always stays clear, got a thorn stuck in the tyre once but didn't puncture, the only disadvantage of this tyre is the weight, 2 tyres weigh in at 1.5kg then add sealant on top! All in all the tyre is great, it rolls well and corners well. 26 December 2013
24 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by No flats, excellent grip, expensive(for me at least) This is a beast! Rolls like track from a tank in dry, excellent in wet, mud and sharp rocks. In low psi u get a nice suspension effect. I had no flats since I owned them 4-5 years ago. The bad part: rubber wears off relatively faster than other tires I had. Wear is accelerated by road use. Plus, they feel way too heavy (aka.: very high rolling resistance) for the road. Summary: loves off road challenge(rock, mud, roots etc.) with low psi, hates road, wears faster than expected. When they die I am definitely gonna get a new pair. 28 November 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not a bad tyre When I went UST I switched to these in 2.1 from the 2.3 width non UST. A good reliable tyre which rolls quite well in the dry and sheds mud nicely when things get wet and sticky. The soil where I live is mostly sticky clay. At low pressure (15-20 psi) they are useful in snow. I have run mine since I had them with Joes sealant without issue althought the instructions did say not to. My rear tyre will soon need replacing and I will be getting another one of these. 09 October 2013
21 August 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I got these on a Santa Cruz Blur LT as standard. when they finally died, I wanted to try summat different, like you do. So I did. And they were no where near as good. Tried loads of different tyres since and still think these are the best I've tried. Great in every condition. If you're todally kewl, like me, then you will run these in the opposite direction for better pedaling traction. Go on, click NO if you want to lick Jordan's thatch. 03 January 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Predictable and Grippy About to fit my third set. These tyres are great in all but the mudiest conditions. Our trails are mostly hardpack clay based that can turn from very slippery with rain from loose and dusty after a big dry season. The Nevegals handle it all. Previously tried Maxis high rollers and they were not as confident in the corners. Also Larsens which are as good a tyre in the dry but not as good in the slippery stuff 13 August 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Seriously Not durable. This tyre punctures fairly easily on XC trails, but it has a much more serious issue... after just 1 year of seasonal use (one season of use) the sidewall ruptured. I never overinflated the tire, and used 33psi on trails. Had 1 more season of tread left for serious climbing. It looks like the woven fibres tore when the sidewall bounced off a rock, and then the whole thing internally inflated and burst the next day. :) 05 July 2011
