Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Durable and High Quality Moved from a Shimano 10speed chain to a KMC X10 after the shimano snapped. The KMC is super tough and although i haven't noticed a particular improvement in smoothness, it is confidence inspiring that I know it wont break. Will be using these chains from now on as standard. 18 August 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by not that great on SRAM/Shimano When replaced old 10 speed chain with KMC X10 (on SRAM chain rings with Shimano cluster), it was almost as if I has been was a 9 speed chain. Not smooth at all!! 02 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Превосходно Отличная цепь, выдержала горы, катания по городу, трейлы и апхилы. За целый сезон сбоев не давала, главное своевременно чистить и смазывать. Хорошая цепь за разумные деньги. Рекомендую 06 May 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Seems to stay cleaner than the Shimano I've been riding the Shimano HG74 SLX chains that came stock with my bike but recently decided to give the KMC chain a go. I've been really happy with the results so far. Wearing well and it seems to stay a lot cleaner than the Shimano and cleans up with a rag a lot better. Certainly after a degrease the KMC looks shiny new and that looks better on my bike. Better looking bike, happier rider - happy rider, better rider. I'm running 4 chains on rotation and when its time to replace them I will probably go 50/50 Shimano v KMC to get a better comparison. But so far I'm really impressed with the KMC. Comes with a KMC Chain Link ... but you should always carry a spare. While you are at it get one of the BBB Open Link Closing Link Tool BTL77 - it makes locking and unlocking the chain links really easy!! 03 September 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not a perfect match for Ultegra 6700 casette I got this after reading some reviews about how great it is. It might be, but it does not fit very well to Shimano Ultegra 6700 casette. It works, but it is like having a bad adjusted rear direailleur. No matter how perfect you adjust it. I have now changed to a 6701 chain from Shimano and the gears are back to what they where. As i said, the chain might be superb, but not for Ultegra 6700. 10 June 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by best value i used to buy flashy X-10SL chains for my bikes but wore them out in 3months and allthough they look good on an expensive road bike they are not worth £60ish a pop, now i buy 3 of these instead and last the same 3months each and work just aswell. great value! 19 November 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great value i used to use X10 SL chains but only got 3months out of them and sick off spending £50+ for a harsh changing chain, so went to these basic chains that are just as long lasting but a lot cheaper and only 35gms or so heavier. if you do lots off miles save your money for a new rear tyre as they dont last either. 19 October 2012

Answer:
Chain length is specific to your bike. If your existing chain is 106 links and you can function across the full range of gears then there is no problem with shortening a new chain to match this.

Answer:
Yes; it's fine to shorten a chain by as much as your system requires.

Answer:
I would suggest that you calculate your the chain length required for your particular frame and drivetrain. There are many variables in chain length so we cannot advise what is the correct length.

Answer:
Chain length varies quite a bit from bike to bike, regardless of drive train as frame size etc comes in to play.
Count the links on your existing chain or buy the longest version to be sure and then shorten it to the appropriate length when you fit it.

Answer:
If you are running 10 speed on your DH bike then it should be fine. But if you are running a smaller cassette, then look for the appropriate chain for the speeds on your cassette as the chain width varies to suit the cassette.

Answer:
Hi mate! If you are running a 10 speed cassette on your downhill rig, this chain should not be an issue to you. But do take note of the number of links required for your bike depending on the size of your biggest cassette and chain ring.
