Just wondering whether this is designed to be as close to the skin as possible or if the bolts I can see will be uncomfy.

Also wondering whether they would aid back support? Recently wedge fractured my T9 and looking for something to support but also protect from impacts.

Any other products you would recommend? Don't wish to wear full body armour but rather chest/back plate
