Rated 5 out of 5 by lyon1066 Excellent light and CRC service
I was wary when I ordered this light seeing the number of battery issues mentioned by reviewers.
My fears were confirmed when I received it. The battery would not charge!!
A mail to CRC and and a new battery was dispatched within 15 days.
Tested twice on my commute. This is an AMAZING light for the size. Cars now see me and
I have about 1 Km of unlit, totally dark road and I can easily see at least 30m.
Highly recommended inspite of battery prbs.
5 stars for product and CRC service.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Gordy29 A great light.....if it worked
I really wanted to like this light, it has a great spec and a great price and I couldn't find anything else for a similar price. I read the reviews and seen all the problems with charging that people were having but I thought maybe they were just a few people who had bad experiences amongst the silent majority who's lights were fine.
So I took the gamble, but it didn't pay off and I had exactly the same problems as the rest of the people here. The green charging light flashes for a few minutes then goes solid green but all you will get is one split second flash before it goes dead.
Its a real shame as the light looks to be well built and the mount looks solid as it screws directly into the light. For the nanosecond that it flashed (as I was stupidly looking right at it wondering why it wouldn't work) it nearly burnt my retinas out so I have no doubt its a very bright light.
The only problem is it doesn't work so I cant really recommend it unless you are a bit of a gambler.

Rated 1 out of 5 by bfallon dont buy this product
Bought the 500 version it didnt work, battery wouldnt take a charge, sent it back and got a new battery, that worked for a few weeks and then wouldnt take a charge.
Decided to try the 400 version as I got a gift voucher, guess what, it doesnt work straight out of the box, battery wont take charge, charges for 5 minutes then goes solid green.

Rated 4 out of 5 by OaADave Good quality unit - shame about the battery issues
Overall I am very impressed with this range of lights from Lezyne, especially the Power Drive XL. However I've had the same issue with the Power Drive XL and the Mini Drive XL and this was problems with the battery shipped inside the unit. In both cases I bought the 'Loaded' set (boxed set with all the extra mounts and a spare battery). In both cases the battery that was shipped inside the light itself was DEAD. It wouldn't charge or give even the faintest glimmer from the light. The other battery shipped in the metal capsule was ok. In both instances I obtained replacement batteries with no quibble and the lights have been great since.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pete1989 Very bright + solidly built for the price
Very impressive for the price. Plenty bright enough for basic offroad, might be a bit dim in peripheral vision if you're going fast. I have no trouble believing it's 400 lumens. The whole unit is very light, a thin metal case that's still plenty strong enough.
One warning: this light is not waterproof. There's a big hole in the bottom for the charging socket. It'll manage heavy rain easily, but don't drop it in any puddles. Fortunately the mount feels pretty solid so it shouldn't fall off the handlebars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by EE23 A Good Light
I already have the old 2011 Power drive (not the XL version). This is significantly larger, larger than I expected, but still equally lightweight. It has a fantastic run time at full power and an intuitive design. I've used Lezyne's mounting system for my 2011 Power Drive and its very reliable. I have a couple of picky issues with this light : it's definitely not as well built as my older Lezyne and the thread on the battery cap makes it a real pain to screw back in. Having said that, it is still very durable by the standards of any rival lights and for the price it is now, it's a no brainer buying this light.
