Rated 3 out of 5 by Peeling off already Properly cleaned the chainstay with iso-alcohol yet after 3 weeks of ROAD riding the chain stay protector is peeling off already. The small frame protectors havent yet, but Ill have to get another (better) chain stay protector to replace this one. Good value in theory and its a great concept having a clear one, but it didnt work. 13 April 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Average protector The smaller patches don't really stick that well on the head tube and have already started to peel off. The chain stay protector is good and goes unseen, but the sound of the chain slap is enough to drive you crazy!!! I wouldn't bother with this protector and go for something with a bit of cushioning. 24 February 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice but not enough of it. Consists of 1 chainstay protector and 2 patches. The adhesive is good and application is very easy, also provided is an alcohol wipe to make sure the frame is free from dirt prior to application. The chain stay strip is quite short, and won't completely cover your chainstay unless used on a childs bike. It's wide enough to wrap over the top 1/2 of the chainstay but not the whole thing, and on my 29er left a good 3 inch of frame exposed, 1 1/2 inch either end. The patches are excellent size for head tube protection. 21 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Top quality frame protection I have used these patches and chain stay protectors on a previous bike and found them to be really tough and hard wearing. The adhesive is really good, these patches have stayed in place through a long winter and many bike washes. Overall I'm very happy with this product. 22 August 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Must Have For Me I have the chain stay protector on 2 of my bikes and I am just about to buy another set for a new bike. Contrary to previous review the protector does last and is almost invisible other than the little lizard picture which looks pretty neat. That is assuming of course that it has been applied properly. I have one a bike that is almost 3 years old and there is no sign of it coming off the frame. 25 February 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very effective & cheaper than replacing a frame I ride on rough backroads with cobbled table top speed bumps. Though the vibrations & impacts aren't as bad as you get off road riding they are more than capable of slamming the chain into the chain stays hard enough to leave scratches in the metal. This was a big worry for me as I moved from an aluminium frame to carbon but for a thin piece of plastic it holds up very well! It has kept my frame chip free for 18 months & though covered in oil scuffs by the end of every ride, which are cleaned off with a workshop rag, shows very little sign of damage in it's self. A quick investigation with a centre punch showed me it acts like a piece of hard rubber, deforming a bit but then quickly spring back into shape. This absorbs the impact but doesn't allow the plastic to cut easily. With it being almost invisible the beautiful 12k carbon weave of the frame is still shown & kept in pristine condition. As for £7 being expensive, I'd say compared to writing off a carbon frame it looks like a bargin even if I did have to replace it every few months. 03 July 2010
