The KEO Plus limited Edition pedal has been produced directly from the KEO and KEO HM pedals. The KEO Plus has been developed with strength and lightness in mind as well as high performance and durability. This new pedal features two In-Line bearings and the axle is made of Chromoly. The pedal is made up from injected Polyamid, this material enables the pedal to be both very light, and also very stiff, Polyamide is specially designed not to creak. What you get is quiet, solid, dependable pedalling bliss. Total weight for each pedal is 140g with Chromoly axle.

Features:

  • Sealed bearings

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value and quality Great intro. Look pedals or ideal for your training bike. 27 November 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for the price, but not for those who stop frequently. I bought these as my first clipless pedals, so I can't compare them to any other brands. Installation is easy, providing you have access to a giant-size allen key. Don't forget the anti-seize! Once the pedals are in and you have your cleats on your shoes (a job in itself), I found clipping in and out very easy (at least while stationary - clipping in the second foot while moving is an art that must be practiced). The pedal itself is well made, but surprisingly weighed more than the flat MG-1's they replaced, despite being half the size and made of, essentially, plastic. The weight is not an issue at this price point, though. What is different is the power you can lay down with clipped-in feet. It's a big change, particularly when climbing. I've had a few clipless moments and fallen over, scuffing one of the pedals and leaving a permanent mark (entirely my fault, not the pedals'). Also of note, as everyone with Look Keos will tell you, is the cleats get damaged VERY EASILY through normal use - mine are badly chewed-up after two weeks' commuting and one club run. This may be only cosmetic, as they still clip in and out flawlessly, but they certainly look rough! Bizarrely, the Keo cleat covers are unavailable or out of stock everywhere I look. At this price, I am very happy with the product. It's exactly the same as the more expensive Classic model, except for the colour, and loads of cyclists compete or train at a high level with those. For commuters looking for a pedal, however, I would have to recommend SPD-type pedals with shoes you can walk in normally. For wannabe speed-demons, they are a very cheap way to get faster. 30 August 2010

Compatability

Are Xpedo cleats compatable with the Look KEO pedals. I believe Xpedo and Wellgo are the same brand.

Pedal Compatibility

Hi,
I recently bought some Look KEO Blade Carbon pedals for my triathlon bike, I also own a cheaper road bike which I use for commuting to work I was wondering if the cleats for these pedals are compatible with the KEO Blade cleats and if not is there any that are?

Answer:
The KEO Blade and KEO Plus use slightly different cleats.

There are no 3rd party/aftermarket cleats that we know of which can work with both pedals.
