Rated 4 out of 5 Really good shorts for not a lot of money
Unusually for me i bought these shorts before reading the reviews. I'm glad i did because two 1-star reviews would have put me off. So far these shorts have been great. Comfy from the word go, excellent thick padding and they look great - what's not to like? Maybe the quality is a bit variable hence the low star reviews, but my previous Lusso shorts were comfy and lasted for ages. If you're in any doubt I'd recommend giving them a go. At the very least they're free to return with Collect+ if you dont like them. And you might just find they're great shorts for just over £20.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Great value for comfort
I recently bough a pair of these. I had 2 other pairs of different brand shorts. These are by far the best and most comfortable. Great value for money. will be purchasing another pair soon so i wont have to use my other less comfortable shorts.

I bought a pair in 2012 and they were great. So i bought another pair in 2013 of the newer model. First ride of 3 hours they cut into me. Seems like stitching is rough. After a wash they were better but there is something very uncomfortable about the size and material of the padding - its totally different to 2012 model- I have used a few times thinking i would get used to it but have given up. If they go back to 2012 model i would buy again but steer clear of 2013.

Terrible – The only way of describing these. So uncomfortable they actually hurt. I would have sent them back if I hadn’t had to cut the padding out in order to ride again the next day as I was abroad at the time. The padding design is similar to having a yoga matt sewn into your shorts.

First of all the panel in these shorts is a lot larger than most others. At first I did not like the feeling of having such a large pad, but after a few miles you get used to them (and then you change back to your old pair and think god these are narrow and uncomfortable!!) They are well made and the material is thin which is good for warmer weather. I have had mine for a few months now and done well over 1000 miles in them and the still feel as good as new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous You know how it is. You’re not in during the day, so you get your parcels sent to your Mum’s house. Well, the first I knew about my delivery arriving was when my brother sent me a tweet saying “Your lycra has arrived, consider yourself ostracised”.
As one Bomberdrome Bicycle Wall of Death crew, our ethos is pretty much the polar opposite of your average M.A.M.i.L. We ride rusty, rather than carbon bikes, and we wear whatever we happen to be wearing to ride, which certainly doesn’t involve lycra. So you can see why I’ve been banished from the “cool” club.
However, riding a bicycle wall of death is a weekend pursuit. On weekdays I commute a 19 mile round trip by bike. Recently I’ve put a new leather saddle, and the breaking in process is a bit of a chore. I briefly considered buying a gel saddle cover, but then I slapped myself round the face and told myself to stop being effete. The only other sensible option was to buy some padded shorts.
Not having purchased a piece of lycra before, I chose the Lusso Pro 25 shorts based on price and star rating. And because they didn’t have any whacking great logos on them. I was rather bemused when they came out of the packet, having never seen padded shorts, but it rapidly made sense once they were on. As a pretty lardy chap, the large size fitted perfectly and the grippers made everything stay in place. Once on the bike, everything felt considerably more comfortable.
Thankfully for all the other road users, and general members of the public, they fit rather nicely under a normal pair of jeans. In fact, they fit under a pair of normal shorts. They fit under anything. So now I can ride in comfort, and no one will know that I’m wearing lycra. Hopefully I’ll be let back into the “cool” club, and I can subvert it from within…

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Be careful about sizing.
I purchased a pair of Lusso Pro 25 shorts for training. Ive used Lusso winter tights for years so thought these shorts would be a good choice. However, when they arrived i knew straight away that the fit wasnt going to be very good. I usually take a medium as I'm a 32 waist and 37 hip, the fit of the leg and waist was good but the problem was the padding, they were just too baggy around the crotch area, so much so that the padding doubled up slightly between me and the saddle.
Since I'd worn the shorts for a spin, Chain Reaction wouldnt take them back, which is understandable. So i contacted Lusso directly. Thankfully, Lusso were excellent. They took the shorts back for inspection, replaced the padding and returned the shorts back to me within 3 days. Now the shorts fit perfectly.

I've had these shorts for a couple of months and have been wearing them 2+ days a week. They're holding up well and comfortable enough. The only thing I don't like about them is the pad is quite large. A bit larger than I've had in other shorts. I don't notice it so much after a few minute on a bike.
