While many brake rotors from different manufacturers will run similar braking profiles (often around 20-25mm), any deviation between the pad face and braking surface can cause uneven or accelerated pad wear. The Storm SL is quite a shallow profile, so may eat a channel into the brake pad, causing early deterioration. In many cases it will be a case of trial and error and it is generally advised to match your caliper and rotor with the same brand.
