Marzocchi's Pro riders say that the 55 is the best enduro suspension platform ever made. The soul of the very first Z1 with the unmatched Bomber technology lives in the 55 fork line. A strong tradition of excellence available with four different damping technologies: the 55 is the most complete and performing front suspension line available on the market, matching the riding needs starting from the enthusiast rider to more skilled and demanding riders. Extremely lightweight in all four different configurations, the 55 is the absolute upgrading choice that will make you and your bike perform at the best.
DBC: DBC Hybrid Technology -The Dynamic Bleed Cartridge is the most efficient riding control solution, which takes all the advantages of the most popular damping systems on the market: open bath and sealed cartridge. Based on a hybrid system, the DBC cartridge is a low pressure system with a compensation reservoir controlled by a coil spring instead of an air pressurized chamber. The oil will flow through two different circuits that, in the case of extreme riding, will allow the fluid to rush out the cartridge when the system gets under high pressure. The oil will then be sucked by the cartridge inside again through a one way seal avoiding air to get mixed with the fluid, keeping the sliders always lubricated and each single damping tuning step effective and consistent in the roughest riding sessions.
Gold Race Coating: Gold Marzocchi Race Coating. Hard anodized, low friction race coating with Teflon impregnation increases small bump sensitivity and overall durability of all sliding parts (stanchion surface, seals, bushings).
CR: Compression and Rebound- More then what the majority of the riders need, the CR cartridge offers the control of the rebound and compression low speed keeping the suspension smooth and the tiers glued to ground, no matter the riding style or the terrain you are riding on. Not enough? The high speed compression can be tuned by upgrading to a custom shim stack: pure motorcycle technology!
AER: Air that makes you fly. The AER cartridge performs better than any other system on the market. Countless reviews and tests can proof that this is the way to go! The low pressure required keeps the seals sliding smoothly on the surface with no friction at all. The negative spring offers plushness you would expect from a coil system right from the beginning of the stroke. Furthermore, the fixed piston in the closed cartridge helps to reduce weight since less oil is needed in the entire system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by calum92 Top fork Ive owned so far
Been running a second hand Fox 36 van for the past year or so. It was super well maintained so was as plush as ever, thought it was the bees knees.
But i decided i wanted a change and an air fork to shed some weight. With these being good old school 20mm axle and straight steerer it meant i needed to alterations to my current set up.
First impressions, these forks look amazing. The gold coating is better than kashima and the black lowers and crown make it stand out even more. I was a little concerned about running a 170mm fork on my enduro rig (Santa cruz Nomad) but the extra bit of height has made my riding position more to my liking (tall front end) and hasnt compromised the HA to make it a slog up the hills...
Ive had it out on a number of rides so far. This fork really does live up the expectations. It has much less stiction that normal coatings, nearly no force to compress. Amd are actually lighter than my older shorter travel fox's. Ive opted for 5-8psi less than reccommened with a couple extra clicks of compression to stop me blowing through the travel. This keeps the front extremely sensitive on the first half of the stroke and minimizes major brake dive with compression... Over a minute decent ive ridden many times before getting the fork i was actually 2 seconds quicker (thanks strava!). A mix i think of both the longer travel and bump sensitivity.
However the axle is a bit to get used too. Its a great system, but it takes a small amount of fiddling to find the right point at which to engage the QR (not too tight to breal the axle, but not to loose allow the wheel to shake under chatter)
Overall a fantastic fork and one of my best upgrades this year. If you can afford it, do it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by marcas85 Amazing looks, feel and quality
Once I opened the box, I was immediately impressed. The matt finish and gold stanchions look very well. Once fitted the fork felt amazing. So adjustable in every sense. Once of the plushest forks I have ridden to date. Would highly recommend.

I chose to change to these from a 2011 Fox 36 Float R.
These are like night and day in comparison to the Fox.
Buttery smooth (no stiction like Fox), enough functionality and pretty light.
Small bump action was non existant on the Fox fork.
Look bling with the golf stantions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by zeenohagan great, simple, top product.
I have been on this fork for a month or so, brilliant product. best fork for this price in my opinion, the rebound and compression adjustments work great, and the quality and finish are fantastic. the only negative thing I have to say is at full extension the lowers may flex/rattle around a bit but un noticeable while riding.
