Enduro: This riding style is for skilled riders, and involves steep, aggressive slopes, large obstacles, and moderate jumps. ENDURO forks should be used only with disk brakes, and those frames, wheels and other components specifi cally designed for this riding style. The disk brakes must be attached to the designated mounting points provided on the fork. Never make any modifi cation to your fork when attaching any equipment.
Damping: RC3 EVO V.2 - Rebound Piston V.2 - HiLo Auto - Compression Adjust
Spring: Titanium + Spring Preload - Air Preload
Stanchions: Ø35MM Aluminium, Nickel Treatment
Steerer: Aluminium 1-1/8"
Brake System: 6" Post Mount, max disc 203mm
Colour: with Matching Crown
New Fitted & Slotted Bushing: New bushing design features vertical slot for oil fluid and lubrification; fitted design process forms itself to the internal casting machine seat. The goal is to have the best feeling, most supple feel between the stanchions and the casting.
Nickel coated tapered stanchions: All forks with nickel coated stanchions show a new superficial treatment and a new design. The new superficial treatment improves their smoothness and their resistance to the dirt encountered during every bike ride. The internal tapered profile design allows a consistent weight reduction in comparison with the previous MYs equivalent stanchions, without losing out on stiffness and resistance.
Titanium Spring: Deep researches on springs and materials allowed us to build highly resistant springs with a really light weight. For example, the 888 RC3 EVO Titanium spring has a 50% lower weight if compared to any previous titanium version: the new spring only weighs 163 gr!
RC3 EVO V2: Marzocchi's revolutionary RC3 EVO V.2 open bath cartridge with interchangeable compression shims allows you to custom-fit your fork exactly to your riding needs. V.2 Technology upgrades the EVO with a new rebound piston with bypass shims circuit. The result is higher adjustability range in rebound, more sensitivity and added effectiveness to the setting made to the compression side. Race proven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by djezrd Best fork I have ever had
This fork is a coil sprung fork with plenty of oil in both legs. I did quite a bit of research about longevity of air forks and read the manuals of fox RS and others and most of the air forks require you to buy 2 forks, so as to stay within the service requirements <25 hours of use...maybe less if it is muddy...one on the bike one in the shop or shed been serviced (My first fox, 200 hr service interval 2006, had the stanchion wear so the second pair (100 hr service interval 2009, I was extremely careful with. after a sub-zero trip to CYB the left leg was showing wear...despite servicing the day before going, I suspect the 5 mL of oil in LHD leg was a lump of grease at -8 C so did bugger all lubing). BOS was the exception, they have 20 mL in the LHD leg and suggest 1 year...but ~£900 weight 2.2kgs...So for £200 less you get a coil spring that air forks endless have been engineered to replicate the feel of. So...for 200 g extra you get a fit and forget fork, the feel, and more tunability than you can shake a stick at, if that is your thing.
at 170 mm I feared this fork would result in terrible climbing abilities...however, it magically holds up really well towards bobbing. Even with Pre-load set to zero and the air assist empty.
Riding a knackered fork (9mm QR) against a brand new one ain't the best comparison, but this fork , It tracks like nothing I've ever ridden before and seems so very controlled in the way the travel is used. I have had to stop to let the rear air shock cool down as the extra speed and confidence it has inspired.
I'm clearly never going to full exploit this fork but it should be dependable pleasure every time, the other useful point is that approved servicing and spares seem to be more reasonable than Fox approved servicing.
