Rated 5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great all round performance and reliability I've been using 55 RC3's for 3 years now riding everything from UK trail centres to DH in the Alps, the small bump sensitivity is incredible, it gives you an amazing amount of grip at the front. I've tuned mine slightly by using a heavier oil blend of 8.5wt instead of the standard 7.5wt as I found they had a bit of dive on steep corners. They now have a good supportive mid stroke, they ramp up a lot at the end so bottom out is very rarely an issue. The seals are very good, after about 6 months i pop the dust seals up the stanchion and put a bit of fresh grease/oil between the seals just to keep them super plush (I've removed the naff foam rings that create extra stiction). There is a mention of a 2 year service interval but i think its a bit unrealistic, once a year is probably more sensible. As far as light-weight coil sprung forks go they have no competition at all! 05 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best for yet After riding a raft of other forks over the past 6 years, including some high end fox forks, i've got to say that these are head an shoulders above the rest in terms of small bump sensitivity and reliability. Sure they are not cheap, but will last and save you money in the long term as your not having to get them serviced all the time. 29 May 2014

Answer:
No, they're coil sprung, the only way you could reduce the travel would be to get a shorter spring and a longer negative spring but these are not available from marzocchi.
