Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheap, plasticky and poorly fitted I've been a fan of Mavic equipment in the past so bought these shoes expecting good things. Unfortunately I have been sorely disappointed. The sole is remarkably flexible for a road shoe and the uppers are made of a cheap plastic material which seems to be coming apart after just one ride. The front of the shoe is more vent than anything else. Possibly okay for somewhere with a warmer climate but left my toes feeling cold even in a warm UK September. The ratchet strap has a good amount of adjustability but the same cannot be said for the front straps resulting in hotspots where only the top of the shoe is properly holding your foot. Maybe you'll have a better experience, but for me these are going in the bin after just 100k and I'll be scraping together my remaining pennies for something a bit better constructed. 07 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Cycling Shoes I bought these shoes to replace a set of Specialized and I am very very happy with my decision. Not only do these shoes look great they perform exactly as well as you would expect. I was a bit dubious about ordering the standard size range as opposed to the wider fit model but I am glad I did. The toe box has enough room in it so that your foot feels supported but not restricted. I was still able to wiggle my toes around. The ratchet strap is great in that it is quite short and fits down the side of the shoe, whilst the wider material part of the strap closes and tightens over your upper foot. It feels very sturdy. The ratchet tighten/release catch is very effective and easy to use even whilst on the bike. There is also good support at the rear of the shoe which is padded and I haven't felt any discomfort in that area at all. If you are looking for a decent pair of cycling shoes I would recommend giving these a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. 25 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love these shoes Most comfortable biking shoes I've owned. Used with speed play pedal system. Definitely recommend. 20 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great quality shoes These are my 2nd pair of Mavic shoes and I am very happy with them. They have great stiffness & are well made. As before I went for a slightly larger size (UK10) than my street shoe size (UK 9.5). Decided on the white red & black & they look well. If you, like me don't want to spend 100's on Sidi's these are a great option. 11 September 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoe A great fitting, comfortable & light shoe. Nice stiff sole, so you can really feel the extra power transfer, also seems to stop the foot cramps I used to get, but that may be a combination with the change to Look pedals from SPD's. Good ratchet strap to lock you in securely for those upstrokes. Glad I paid out the extra over the more entry level shoes. Also glad I went for 10.5 sizing, I'm usually a 10 in standard shoes, sometimes a 9.5, my Specialized touring shoes are 9.5, but these are perfect fit in 10.5. Also, they look the nuts! Highly Recommended. 30 June 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice shoes I have been trainnig on these shoes for one year, very confortable even in spring time with over shoes. Great value, high quality and ggod looking. All we need to ride some 100s kms. 20 June 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Light, Great and worth the price Bought these after riding my road bike everywhere in Mavic MTB shoes and cleats. Thought it time to upgrade. They are a great Shoe, light with its carbon sole and the binding upper is strong. Having riding in the previous shoe, size 8. I bought these in a size 8 and found them too tight. So sent them back and got a size 8.5 pair. Used them at the weekend and they were a great fit. The back of the shoe has abit a padding for when you pull back through the pedal and the tongue is also comfortable. They also look the nuts!! 02 April 2013

Look KEO classic road pedals Compatible?...

Wondering if these shoes are compatible with the "Look KEO road pedals"?

Having read various reviews on this site, these pedals & shoes are both appealing & within my price range, just wanting to make sure they're a suitable combination before ordering?

Thanks.

Answer:
Mavic is generally a narrow fitting just like Shimano, so people have recommended to go a size up.

Answer:
I have just bought these shoes. I normally hover between a 9 & 10 for normal size shoes so I chose a 44 in these which the chart put at 9.5. They were a perfect fit. There was still enough room in the toe box to allow me to wiggle my toes but my whole foot felt supported. I can also get more power through my pedal stroke because of this especially on the back pull.

Answer:
Looking at the shoes on the Mavic website and reading the description on the CRC website, the shoes are road shoes (SPD-SL).
These will be compatiable with most if not all SPD-SL pedals and cleats.

Answer:
The only difference that we can see is that the Maxi are wider.
There are no other visible differences and we are not sure as to how they differ. You may be best to read the reviews and get peoples opinions who have actually used them.
