PLEASE NOTE THAT NOT ALL OPTIONS ARE FOR A PAIR - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SELECT THE CORRECT OPTION WHEN ORDERING The Crosstrail Disc can do it all: epic rides as well as sparks in demanding cross-country rides. Trust Mavic knowhow and rely on our technologies (FTS-X, QRM+, Maxtal) and processes (SUP, Fore, ISM) to enjoy a responsive ride. **Please note that the front wheel is only suitable for Cannondale Lefty forks.** • Weight: 1810g per pair • Front wheel: 840g • Rear wheel: 970g Technologies: • Fore: Only one of the 2 rim wall is "drilled". • FTS-X - Force Transfer System X: A further improved FTS free wheel system to meet the demand of intensive MTB riding as closely as possible: strengthened pawls, self locking axle end screw to make the freewheel mechanism even more hard wearing and a new seal halving friction torque. • ISM - Inter Spoke Milling: Lighter rim and equal rigidity is the magic equation to reduce inertia and to free extra power for climbing. A Mavic patented exclusive concept (US 6 402 256). • Maxtal: Exclusive to Mavic. An aluminium alloy that is 30% more resistant than a 6106 alloy, for lighter and stronger rims. • QRM - Qualité de Roulements Mavic (Mavic bearings quality): Mavic only uses high quality sealed cartridge bearings. On QRM wheels, they provide high durability thanks to double sealing (2RS or LLU) as well as high efficiency thanks to C3 internal clearance (low play, tight tolerances). • SUP - Soudé Usiné Process: A welded and milled rim joint is extremely strong, eliminates shuddering when braking, and offers superior wheel balance. • UST - Universal Standard for Tubeless: A better grip for tighter control. No more tube, no more rim tape: sounds too good to be true. The UST concept eliminates heat, friction and guarantees a slow deflating rate if punctured. Rims: • Colour: double anodization, black rim, silver ISM. • Disc brake specific profile • Fore • Internal width: 19 mm • Material: Maxtal • SUP • Valve hole diameter: 6.5 mm • Weight reduction: ISM Spokes: • Colour: black • Count: 24 front and rear • Lacing: front and rear crossed 2 • Material: stainless steel • Nipples: integrated M7 aluminium with brake rings • Shape: straight pull, bladed Hubs: • Colour: black • Axle material: steel • Bodies: aluminium • Front: Lefty - use only on a Cross Mountain or Cross Country MTB fitted with a Cannondale Lefty fork and disc brakes • FTS-X, steel • QRM • Rear axle size: 9,5x135 Compatibility: • Disc brakes: 6 bolt • ETRTO size: 559x19C • Front wheel mount: Lefty Forks only • M10 • Rear wheel mount: quick release • Recommended tire sizes: 1.5 to 2.3 • Tire: UST Tubeless and tubetype Accessories: • “Lefty” assembly accessories (front wheel) • Rear quick release skewer • Removable UST valve • Wrench for aerodynamic spokes • User guide and warranty card NOT AVAILABLE OUTSIDE THE EU

A lovely precise ride. Tubeless option is great. And they don't have that annoying hope noise.

Have the 08 model. I have been using them for the past 6 months. Light enough and roll great. These wheels are a great purchase.

I managed to destroy the freehub body of the rear wheel on its second outing, climbing up a steep hill. Suddenly there was an almighty 'bang' ...and that was that - the cassette would no longer freewheel. Sent back to ChainReaction and they sent straight to Mavic for repair.
They sat in a box for most of this year as I did'nt trust them over my Hopes. Now I've put together a mud plugging bike and am using them is the foulest of conditions. They have been great so far - since all the internals of the freebub body was replaced and upgraded FOC.
Nice looking wheels, pretty light, I was disappointed that the axles are steel (more fool me for not reading the spec properly), nice detail on the rims and spokes, Hate the graphics. I use my Hopes (on another bike) for trips to Wales and the Peaks, and the Mavics for my local rides... so if they go bang again I'm not too far from home. If you don't want tubeless then buy the Crossrides - they're £100 cheaper and basically the same thing...
