Rated 5 out of 5 by MRL24 Great winter tights
To balance out the previous review, I have lots of Mavic kit and none has let me down to date. I used these for the first time at the weekend, and the windproof leg panels worked particularly well. The Ergo 3d pad also works well for me. I also have the Mavic Equipe bib tights which are similar but not as windproof, and those have been very durable, so I expect the Echappees to be equally so. Recommended, especially at the current sale price.

For the 4 rides that I was able to wear these they were great; very warm, nice fit and good at repelling water yet as breathable as you'd expect from non-waterproof clothing. Getting kitted up for the 5th ride and one of the ankle zips split, making it impossible to secure the two halves of the bottom of the leg together. Just over a week later and another item of my Mavic kit was rendered useless due to a manufacturing defect (a big split on one of the calf seams), so I'm either incredibly unlucky or Mavic kit is just badly made. When you're spending this kind of cash you expect it to last for a long time, so I don't think I'd ever buy Mavic again.
