Maxxis Advantage XC Wire Tyre

Alison Dunlap designed the ADvantage as a high volume aggressive cross country tire that corners great on big side-knobs. It also climbs and brakes with authority thanks to the opposing parallelogram center tread design. Ramped center knobs keep rolling resistance minimal and the wide lug spacing sheds mud easily.

Maxxis Advantage XC Wire Tyre Specifications:

  • Opposing parallelogram with aggressive side knob
  • Size: 26 x 2.10
  • TPI: 60
  • Max PSI: 65
  • Durometer: 70a

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 46 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hardly any grip in real muddy situations... I found this tyre really good for climbing and over roots and rocks not bad at all but after a few day of rain climbing on natural trails in muddy situations there was no grip at all...At the moment I am going to take it off and keep it for the summer when its dry... 07 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality Awesome tyre, just changed the rear after 6 month's riding.Taken everything I thrown at it. Slippy rocks mud, gravel, you name it. Worth every penny. Been using a non tubeless tyre on xt factory wheels. Put your glupe in and off you go. Can't fault them. 27 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Хорошие покрышки для зимних покатушек Брал в зиму и не прогадал. Покрышки отлично проявили себя на утоптанном снегу и автомобильной снежной колее. Даже за голый лед пытались держаться за счет того что не дубеют на морозе. 27 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good grip Spent ages reviewing tyres as I wanted to get rid of my old one as they were rubbish...I decided on this tyre after reading reviews and speaking to some biker mates.. I put this on the rear of my bike and had it out today in the snow mud and rain and was very very happy with the grip I took bike up the same place I have had trouble with before getting grip and slipping about... I got up first time and was surprised how much climbing grip I was getting.... I may put one on to the front of the bike (I got a super tacky on front) I got a 2.25 as my last tyre were that size... Good XC tyre... Would recommend highly.. 01 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Brilliant The tyre has very good grip, taken out in mud first time use and it was awesome, no slipping at all, good on hills also. Recommended (2.25) 26 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beware the different versions I've tried a couple of variants of these, running them as rear tyres, and based on my experience, the different varaints vary enormously in performance. The 2.1 Folding, which I believe is 70a compound, took a little while to get my head around - it's one of those tyres where you really have to commit to. They're grippy enough when vertical and when leaning them right over, but there's a zone inbetween where they get a bit sketchy. So long as you're aware of this, it's fine and you can ride around it, but it requires a bit of a leap of faith to keep on pushing when they appear to have run out of grip. The 2.25 Folding, which is 60a MaxxPro compound, is a different beast though. I've run these on my hardtail and my full suspension bike and they're a good allrounder. They don't seem to have that grip/no grip/grip transition as you lean them over that the 2.1's do. I'm not sure whether this is due to the shape of the carcass and the difference that makes to the position of tread knobbles and how much of it is due to the softer/stickier rubber. They roll pretty well for a relatively fat tyre, and the rubber isn't so soft that they feel draggy. The only real criticism is that the sidewalls are not the toughest - rock damage to the sidewall is what usually kills these rather than treadwear. 26 January 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Neumático correcto para enduro, aunque algo ligero Lo utilizo para la rueda trasera. Tiene un agarre y facilidad de rodadura correcta. El peso también es bueno pero esto hace que sea facil pinchar en terrenos rocosos. 21 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best tyre for the money! I have tried a lot of brands. I always return to this tyre. The reason other people are disappointed could be that this tyre is 70A. I always buy the 60A version. I rely on it long into the autumn. Very grippy in most conditions. It is not fair to compare to Minion for instance. That is a DH tyre which almost doesn't roll on flat ground. The only downside to the Advantage is the sidewalls which wear out fast. But that could be due to the fact that I run the tyres on 20PSI. But hey, what a grip! 07 November 2013

Answer:
Questi copertoni non sono tubeless. Tutti i pneumatici tubeless sono riconoscibili dalla scritta UST o LUST. Se presentato tale scritta nel titolo allora significa che sono tubeless.

Answer:
The 2.25 Folding Bead version of this tyre uses the 60a Compound, while the 2.25" Wire and both 2.1" tyres run the harder 70a compound.
