Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great all round aggressive tyre Great tyre all round aggressive tyre, rolls reasonably well for tyre type and if you don't like changing tyres can be used all year round unless it gets really muddy. Have had a few of these now and last well. Only downside is that they can feel a bit floaty on corners until they're leaned over, if this doesn't suit then Continental Rubber Queens/Trail Kings have been good as well and are a bit more predictable. Works with no problems tubeless, have used on Mavic and Stands rims. 28 July 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by buon compromesso ottimo in frenata e scorrevole in salita, utilizzando le pressioni corrette. 24 July 2014
:) 16 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great all around tubeless tire for AM/ enduro I have run it as a rear tire on my 160mm enduro bike with great results so far. It is resonably fast rolling while it provides tons of grip and works well even in wet conditions. It won't cope with deep mud but the same can be said for any non mud specific tire. If you ride in dry climates you could aslo try Ardent 2.25 LUST. It rolls better and you dn't lose much in terms of grip. Keep in kind though that the ardent is not good in the wet. It sets up tubeless using just a floor pump on my Stans Flow rims. Also the sidewall is stiff enough to suport the tire without feeling overly harsh. I run mine at 30 -31 psi. 11 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by AMAZING! GRIP IS INCREDIBLE! Had these tires for about 2 years now I guess on my Iron Horse DH bike. What can I say, they keep you planted on the ground as you need them too. Been riding them on pea gravel too and I have only ever once found that no-return point (I was almost horizontal at speed), stupid me :). Seriously, they hold the ground good! not light compared to your typical XC tires but hey I bought them for DH use and they seriously hold good for that! You wont be disappointed if your looking for a Tyre that will grip! 09 January 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Strong, but heavy!! I run this tire on the rear in muddy conditions during winter. Great traction and predictable when it starts loosing grip. Very stiff sidewalls - doing 1 m drops at 28 psi - tire can take a lot of beating. BUT actual weight for the 2.35 is 955 grams on my ktichen scale!! 26 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Buena rueda trasera Buena rueda trasera: tacos centrales de gran frenada i laterales con agarre. 52x559. Ruedan bien y son predecibles en curva. 01 August 2013
20 February 2012

Answer:

I ordered this tyre for my front wheel & the ardent lust for the rear. The only thing is, the high roller for the front is skinnier than the back (ardent 2.25) even though it's a 2.35, which is not really the effect I am looking for.
I was looking for a tubeless set up & would like to stick with maxxis & was looking at the high roller 2 exo but it's not in stock. (26")
Any suggestions?
Many thanks.

Answer:
if you want to stay with maxxis go for this: Maxxis Minion DHF Front MTB Tyre. it comes in a UST aswell. The UST is only in a 2.5 which I'm running on my trail bike but its a lot larger then the ardent in 2.25. If you go the dual ply it is possible to run as a tubeless which comes in a 2.35 which is the actual size. great tyre, its the fastest rolling tyre from maxxis after the ardent.

Answer:
Maxxis tires tend to run a bit narrow compared to their stated width and sizing can be inconsistent. You could try the Ardent 2.4 for dry conditions or the Schwalbe Magic Mary for more all around use.
