Maxxis Minion DHF Front MTB Tyre

The Minion DHF is the standard by which all other aggressive mountain tires are measured. The DHF incorporates ramped knobs for low rolling resistance and channel-cut knobs to increase gripping edges, giving straight-line control and precise cornering.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 129 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by GOOD TYRES decent set of tires- good grip/fairly fast rolling good value 18 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by quality tyres very grippy Swapped from my old continental tyres to these and I can obviously tell the difference ! Super grippy in the corners ! 25 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Excellent Bought this to replace to my worn out high roller and i must say im very very impressed, it has certainly increased my confidence 10 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Minion in my opinion They should have called this the Shotgun as it just blasts everything else away and covers every eventuality. Unless it's super hard pack or muddier than a WWI trench, the Minion is the go to tyre. Tough, grippy and worth every penny, it'll handle what ever you care to throw at it. I like to run the 42a front and back, with 2.7" on the front and 2.5" in the rear. This might not work for you but the Minion will, whatever size you like to use. And CRC are still out front with their prices as well. What are you waiting for? Just buy some. 08 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by muy buen producto me encanto tiene un agarre muy bueno y mas para vueltas cerradas :D 18 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent the best quality price ratio, there's more expensive tire that could work better but for a partial time DH it's good on my 2009 DH bike and keep me confident 11 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The DH standard I have these in 2.5 and 2.7 in all rubber compounds (including the old slow reezay 40a). When in doubt put a DHF on! Great tyre! 27 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good in most conditions. Have used these tyres in all conditions for aggressive AM riding and they have performed will in everything. 05 January 2014

Answer:
This version of the Minion tyre is not tubeless. Maxxis tubeless ready tyres will have UST in the title.
The UST version of the Minion DHF can be found in the link below.

Answer:
The tubeless version of these tyres have UST designated in the title, so they're a different listing on CRC... but I run these non-UST tyres tubeless with stans without any problems... and they're a bit lighter too!

Answer:
Not really, the 2.5 is about the same size as Schwalbe 2.35s... If you want bulky I'd suggest you get the 2.7s
