Maxxis Minion DHR II Rear Tyre

Featuring an all-new tread design, the Minion DHR II is the ideal tire for aggressive gravity riding. With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF, but widened to provide more support, the DHR II corners like no other. The center tread features ramped knobs to improve acceleration and sipes have been added to create a smooth transition when leaning the bike over. Paddle-like knobs on the center tread dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike in control. Pair it with a Minion DHF up front for the ultimate aggressive riding combo!

  • Excellent braking and cornering traction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great tyre I've been looking for a rear tyre that will hold up on loose over hard eroded granite trails and have finally found the perfect tyre. This tyre has excellent grip (3C version) and the side knobs don't tear off like so many others and the side walls don't tear up on the rocks. Buy with confidence! 27 January 2014
No les he encontrado límite. Muy buen agarre en curva, aunque con un poco de rozamiento adicional. 06 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ottima gomma! L'ho montata da poco e ci ho fatto poche uscite, ma devo dire che forse è la migliore che ho provato finora! si può dire quello che si vuole ma Maxxis fa delle gomme da paura! Straconsigliata per freeride pesante! 13 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by buon copertone ottimo copertone , molto resistente e grande tenuta , se si acquista quando è scontato il prezzo è ottimo!!! 12 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great tyres! I've been using a Minion DHR on the rear for all-mountain riding for a while, and decided to try the DHR II when it came out. A DHR on the rear climbs much better than a DHF on the rear. The DHR II has better shoulder knobs than the original DHR, and are slightly larger than the one found on the DHF. Braking is improved, and a significant difference is noticed in cornering. If you are paring a Minion DHF with it and you prefer to run a larger front tyre than the rear, get a 2.7 as the DHR II 2.4 is about the same size as a 2.5 DHF. 02 May 2013

I have had a look into this and the weight's would be correct...

The MaxPro 60a Version of the Maxxis Minion DHR II Rear Tyre is in fact a Single Compound and not Dual so this will be updated on the website as soon as possible.

Answer:
As this tyre has a Wire Bead; running tubeless is not possible.

There are Minion UST Tubeless options available; however the tread profile is different.
