Maxxis Swampthing DH Tyre

The rubber used in the Swampthing is firm enough that knobs won't fold, yet soft enough to hook up on wet rocks and roots. The rounded profile allows the Swampthing to hook up without digging into the soil.

  • Cleated knob design digs deep to allow optimal cornering, braking, and acceleration
  • 2-ply DH casings with butyl-protected sidewalls

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Mud tyres These are probably the best mud tyres I've ever used they lasted a full seasons riding on my freeride bike and performed right until the end. Being dual ply you get the normal characteristics of quicker rebounds, ability to run lower pressures safely and high speed stability. These tyres are a fairly soft compound so work well on wet rock as well. Despite the large spaces between knobs these tyres seem to offer a degree of puncture protection. 17 August 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Guter Reifen, mit gutem Durchschlagschutz Ein bischen Dichtmilch mit rein und ein Plattfuß ist nicht mehr möglich! Super Reifen 08 April 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by imperial c'est le pneu favori des enduristes resistant, bonne accroche et facile à rouler on aimerait la version 2.35 en tubeless 29 August 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by top dans le gras pneu au top dans le gras a l'avant, un peu lourd a tracter a l'arriere bien aussi sur terrain sec mais usure rapide 25 August 2009
Rated 3 out of 5 by Split one of these quite easily, right on the bead, too big for the sealant to work. Was running highish (28psi) pressure too. Fabulous grip but I felt it burst too easily. 28 August 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Good These tyres have lasted a winter of Scottish forest trails. I got them because they grip on wet roots and have no reason to complain. Excellent grip in all conditions. You won't break any land speed records with them on and pedalling feels 20pc harder work but that's the trade off for staying on on cold dark wet rooty trails! 20 March 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Sticky drags a bit on hard pack and dry but thats not its home, wet mud is where it is at its best. amazing grip, plenty of lean. after 3 months of 42a compound the circles on top of the blocks are just starting to wear, thats after a minimum of 600 miles, should easily last a british winter. 14 June 2007
