The quintessential all-mountain helmet. From the first glance the Kaos exudes a feeling of quiet strength. Its simple design of a few distinctive criss-crossing lines contributes to the shell strength and shows off the wide air intake vents. It has excellent head coverage for such a feather weight. it is without a doubt the best all mountain helmet.

Features:

  • Visor with integrated air intake - when the visor has air vents it actively helps cool the head by directing.
  • Technology Ultimalite - Strengthens the structure. It is a composite material used to insert fine layers at strategic points of the shell before the polystyrene and polycarbonate parts are fused. Ultimalite fibre strenghthens the structure to which it is applied to such an extent that it is possible to lower the density of the materials used and thus lower the helmet weight without altering the shock absorption capacity.
  • In Mould Intelligent Fusion Construction - this contruction techique provides better shock absoption.
  • Kevlar straps - Ventilated, breathable, lighter and ultra-resistant they have numerous advantages over traditional straps.
  • Safe-T Smart - Occipital retention system. Its role is to ensure that the helmet is held firmly on the head.

14 December 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Forty four quid - bargain! Really excellent lid for the money. Got the matte black one, which looks stealth and will probably not show up on enemy radar (though to be fair there is no mention of this feature in the manual). 05 September 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfy, yet much heavier than claimed The helmet is slightly different to that in the picture (rear) but still looks nice Claimed weight is 250g (Large) Printed weight inside is 290g Actual weight is 320.0g (+-0.2g) It doesn't feel a heavy helmet in use, but it is a thick helmet and very comfy on. Once you figure out the straps, which are quite stiff it's easy to use. Rear fastening system is not as good as their older Push/Slide system I had on my old MET Veleno D helmet. The padding and velcro pads where all in the wrong place you need to fix this yourself, luckily the pads remained sticky enough to move them. 04 September 2013

Answer:
Yes, the MET Kaos MTB Helmet would have the Quick Adjust knob on the back of the Helmet.

In relation to the 'AS/NZS 2063', this would just be the regulations that helmet would need to pass to be used in Australia & New Zealand, as it is classified as a Higher Standard but the helmet would still pass the Standard CE Regulations.
