Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Great commuter tire
Heavy! that being said, they do allow me to drive trough the city center on a Sunday morning (lots of smashed Carlsberg bottles)without any problems.
The weight does affect the handling (just one of them seems to weight more than a pair of the Michelin Cities I had before) but I would rather ride a slightly sluggish bike than walk next to a really fast one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous These are very tough and thick tyres. They take lots of abuse and are hard to puncture. The reflective stripe is great and the ride quite tall and compared to my old 37c tyres add quite a lot of comfort.
The downside is that they are slow. On my 10 mile commute I notice quite a big difference and have to ride one cog less for the same amount of effort. I am sure this is in part to them being larger diameter but they are big heavy tyres and compared to the Continental sport contacts that I had there is a definite gap in rolling resistance and speed.
However, I am happy, they give me peace of mind and I appreciate the more relaxed ride. I will just have to get fitter to maintain my speeds.
As far as city tyres go they are prefect and Michelin does make a faster version of this tyre so at this price I cannot fault it and would recommend it to anyone who needs a robust high quality tyre that they wont have to worry about for thousands of miles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Quite a heavy tyre yes...but if reliabilty from punctures is what you're looking for then look no further. I use them for commuting to work, both on road and canal tow paths. The tyres roll fine on either, rolling resistance is low, I can still hit 30mph. I've covered 700 miles so far and zero punctures, I've lost count of the amount of broken glass I've ridden over along tow paths too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous These are the tyres to get if you really dont want punctures.I have done about a thousand miles on them including back lanes potholed streets and rough gravel tracks. So far nothing has got through the rubber despite accidently riding over broken glass and other debris. The bike seems to corner and handle reasonably well with them even in the wet. They are however heavy tyres so if your trying to shave off every spare gram of weight from the bike these arent for you.
I would buy them again as reliability is my main priority, it looks like they will last many thousands of miles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Puncture protection is brilliant but beware these tyres are heavy. They will add over two kilo's to your ride and they tramline something aweful!!!
If you want a fit and forget tyre, and are prepared to forgive the handling characteristics. These are the ones to have!
