Two different rubber compounds for the centre and the sides of the tread
Michelin Bi-Compound is a totally new mixture of two different rubber compounds in the same tyre!
In the centre of the tread, the rubber is more rigid for less straight line wear
On the sides, the rubber is softer and gives greater grip when cornering
A very low level of rolling resistance through a 30% reduction in casing weight (150 tpi instead of 110 tpi). This greatly limits the distortion of the casing on the road and thus restricts energy losses.
10% reduction in weight (180g) compared with the MICHELIN PRO4 Service Course (200g).

Rated 4 out of 5 by ZR100 Plenty of grip and very low weight
This tyre has bags of grip and spins up really well. The down side to this is it does not last very long and it is easily nicked by stones and after 1500 miles looks worn with splitting in the casing. Punctures are no more or less than any other tyre though which was unexpected (I think luck has a lot to do with punctures). You just need to choose if the performance and short life is worth the money.
