Rated 4 out of 5 by Road / Track / Towpath Commuter Excellent value and an excellent tyre at any price. CRC practically giving them away when i bought these...roll nicely on the road, munch up towpath miles but have enough about them for cheeky off-road detours on the way home from work. At least while the trails are relatively dry...great tyre from a great manufacturer that knows a thing or two about tyres! Oh yeah, and they have a neat reflective strip around the tyre wall. 28 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Speed boost An excellent road tires for mountain bikes! Low rolling resistance, quiet and the reflective lining is a great feature for night riding! 13 May 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by poor quality tyre - cheap and cheerless Last autumn I had 2 michelin tyres blow out the sidewalls - longwalk time - so I replaced them with a set of these michelins instead. 4 months of riding later, and there is a huge bulge in the sidewall again and I'm shopping for tyres before the inevitable happens - and to be sure I will never be buying michelin again. Should have stuck to maxxis as i do for off road. Sole redeeming feature - I do a lot of town riding, and the reflective strip helps the cars spot you when crossing junctions. 26 March 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good idea, but... I've been using these for 10 months, did 4700 miles on them, about 80% on tarmac and about 500 under heavy panniers. Well, I still think they offer the right balance between slicks and the mean ugly off-roadies, so in general a good all-rounder. The reflective strip is good when they are clean, but don't work with a bit of dust. Everything was trouble-free until recently. First, I've noticed that the rear one became a slick. Really, really smooth in the middle. Well, OK, panniers do that to the tires, I've noticed the difference with other ones before (and I always inflate tires equally, to the higher end of the recommended pressure, about 60 PSI). Then I've noticed the reflective strip peeling. Then a couple of punctures at a short interval, and finally two days ago the tyre actually ripped apart and I got stranded in the middle of nowhere. So I don't know. Good impression overall, were it not for the complete and sudden (?) death of the rear one. Or am I just being stupid and I should've picked up on the symptoms? I don't know. I'm still not quite sure what to do with it: to replace the back and just keep an eye on it, or to go for something else? 26 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good urban all rounder Had these about 6 months now. Easy rolling on tarmac, light tread pattern to help on gravel tracks. Have been ideal for urban and pathway use. Useful reflective strip. Grip good on tarmac, adequate on gravel paths. No punctures yet. Good choice for an urban based MTB. 09 January 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by good value tyres and look the part, but slippy! I really don't rate the grip of these tyres in the wet. After 2 weeks of riding them in I am still waiting for them to get grippy 24 September 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent value Just put a pair of these on my Mountain bike, mainly for our road trip to Belgium in a months time. Puncture protection is obviously a bonus and at this price, you'd be a fool not to buy a pair just to put in stock for such rides. Used them today for a 50 mile ride through the villages of Yorkshire and they turned my Marin into a flying machine. 08 June 2013
