Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by
Rated 5 out of 5 Light Fantastic tyre and perfect for turning your mtb into a hybrid.... 22 June 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very low rolling resistance I have to emphasize that I use this slick tires on my roller only. Therefore, I have no experience on how this tire reacts on the road. I had used other pair of "almost" slick tires (26 x 1.75) on my old mountain bike for exercise purpose. It has a few grooves on it that created noise like small vacuum cleaner. After changed to this Wide Run'R, WOW, I needed to swift the gear from the lower range to the higher range on my 18 speed. As a result by spinning the wheels faster on the roller, the bicycle runs more stable. It is definitely a lot quieter. It was not that difficult to install the tires opposite to some other reviews mentioned. 20 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent tyre, highly recommended. Tyres were easy to fit and have made the commute to and from work much faster. They roll quickly and quietly on the road. 09 June 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Everything good Totally changed my riding feelings, it become easier and more comfortable, "no pedaling" distance become significantly longer. Also my bike become lighter (~10 kg now). This is what you need if you need multipurpose bike for road/city riding. And it is easy to transform it back if you are going for offroad riding. I rode 50+ km on it - no punctures. I hit few sharp stones on the road while riding, no any problems. So I think puncture protection is not less than most of road bike tyres. I use it with Michelin C2 AirStop Butyl MTB Bike Tube 26", 1.1 - 1.5", Presta and it took me 2 minutes to change old tyres with this one (I never did it before, I used one lever to fix last few cm). So. I think people who have problems with putting it on wheels use it with old 'fat' tubes. Note, that you should change tubes for this tyres too. Not tested on wet road yet. 17 May 2014

Answer:
A 1.75 inch tube will fit into the 1.4 inch Michelin tyre, you will just have to very careful when putting the new tyre onto the rim that the tube is not nipped.
