Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous Not strong enough
I am on my second one. First one got completely bent and destroyed during last year's mountain mayhem solo by mud only. Last weekend I was riding in the Peak District and again the fin got bent, only slightly but enough to cause lot of friction and noise on the chain. Took it apart and tried to adjust it without joy. I am changing. Not up to scratch for UK riding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Works well.
I have been running two of these on different bikes for a few years now.
SOme adjustment was required at first to ensure the chain was free from the highest and lowest gears.
It can be fiddly to get the correct positioning whilst tightening up the BB.
Once in place though it has proved to be vey strong and reliable.
Don't backpedal and you won't drop a chain!
It looks like XX1 will soon mean that guides are not required but until then this works well for a lot cheaper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Its great
I have this set up on my 1x9 hardtail and its wicked. Has saved me from many skills and is super strong. As for not fitting a square taper its fairly obvious that it wont fit... but yes the bolts are made of cheese! So in fairness its a great chain guide does what it says on the tin!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous its not well designed
Mine worked for a bit but soon disintegrated. It is poorly designed, so too weak and the screws are made from cheese. I have a far better one now from superstar components, well designed, robust and half the price of this one too. You don't get an MRP sticker though, so if thats your bag, get this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous looks good doesnt work so good
This piece looks great, but doesnt work so well, touches chain in high and low gears, i have tried all sorts of adjustments and cant get it right. Be careful not to tighten any bolts as they strip threads easily. Buying a Pauls chain keeper instead.

The write up fails to mention it won't fit a square taper bb. So I wasted time buying it. Also I run a Middleburn Uno chainset and it really didn't look as if the device would fit without catching the cranks. Apart from that the device looks well made just wish it fitted!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous just dont back pedal
looked great, worked great until I back pedaled a bit on a long descent, the chain came off and destroyed the whole thing. So if your feet only move forward and never back it's great.
