Rated 5 out of 5 by 30 June 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent value for money I've used 'skinny' grips for 30 years and having seen the ergon range grow in poularity i thought i'd try a grip that would give me a bit of comfort in one of your 4 contact points! My last pair of NC-17 grips were skinnies and were hard wearing, functional but in the absence of a decent pair of full finger 'padded' gloves on the market i needed something with a little support. I was loathed to pay £30 + for a pair of ergon grips for one reason alone - no grip in the world is worth that silly money! So when my friend recommended these, i popped them in my basket' and waited for delivery. I've now been using them for a month and apart from a couple of adjustments to their angle of attachment, they are great. Not too big you feel like you can't grip the bar and they have enough flex to really absorb some of the minor trail vibrations. At £14, the same price as a standard pair of bolt on grips, i have no reservations in recommending them. You might need to move your gear shifters in a fraction to give your thumbs room. Hooray for china and mass production copies! 28 March 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great value for money if you want this style of grip I had some ergon grips (with integrated bar ends) on a bike that got nicked, added this to my basket for a commuter. - It's just as comfy as the ergon grips; excellent value for money. - when setting up, I found putting the bolt side of the big lock ring on the underside of the grip, rather than the top, stopped the bolt bumping in to my hand. - compatible with classic bar ends. I found the ergon integrated ones trouble as their bar ends curved in steeply, weren't that comfy with big gloves. I can now have my own bar ends. I've given it 4* for value for money, lets you try this design out. If you like them, stay with them. If not, well, you've not lost much. But before you do, two warnings -good for commuting and basic XC; not where you need to hang back or change hand positions much. You can spin around a bit, but you get less grip (especially in two finger on brakes mode), so its no good for DH work. -slippery in the rain. I'm commuting without gloves, after a wet day (like today), the wide surface was very wet, and harder to hang on to. I don't know if the slipperyness is a design flaw of all fat-palm grips, or from the specific rubber used here, but either way, I took a star off for it. 14 September 2010
